Just a suggestion, maybe check into setting up a week in Milwaukee County and speaking with them about the local brownfield redevelopment they've worked with here. There are also EPA allowances and variances and waivers. A week in June coinciding with Homecoming could be workable. Anyway I'm glad you found work, and in a field you wanted. Any job in this local economy is good, but finding one within your specialty and utilizing your background is great.

Great news Char! Is relocating an option? If you move to Baraboo, we could form a Buell Club for the area!! |

Congrats Char! Sounds like a great gig! Make sure the Saturn is topped up on oil (they drink it, but will run forever while doing it), and maybe check the serpentine belt idler pully. They had bearings that would slowly fail... it would start as a hoot on cold mornings on initial start up, and go downhill from there. Cheap easy fix, 15 minutes in the driveway with common tools. |

Thanks everyone. I didn't get very much sleep last night. Things are going to really change in the next week and my mind was racing a little bit. We also had a 4 AM earthquake that woke me up. I woke up from the framed photos rattling on the bedroom walls, thought, "Wow, Cool, We are having an earthquake" and went right back to sleep. |

Seriously though, this is only the second earthquake I have been in and my specialty in school was Structural Geology which includes the study of the kinematics (physics of movement) of tectonic plates. When I was a kid the earthquake of the New Madrid Fault in the "boot heel" of southeast Missouri, near Cape Girardeau happened. I was pretty minor too... not sure of the exact date... But that same fault zone caused the largest US Earthquake in the lower 48 ever... cool stuff... not sure what exactly caused the one last night, but it was minor too and in Northern Illinois. Fun stuff when it isn't serious. I love earth science!!! Cool Beans!!! |

Congrats on the job! Too bad it will involve having to go to work and everything! The earth quake may have been my fault(according to my wife). I'm only about 700 miles away. I was facing South East while sleeping last night. I am working on balancing out how much bulk fiber laxative I need for.....I.....I.....uh-oh.....gotta go! Ahhhhhhhggg....... |

Um, did YOU cause the Earthquake? I cause them every day. I'll be rocking out tomorrow with about 17,000 pounds of high explosives. |
