As many of you know, I am walking in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day Breast Cancer walk in Washington D.C. this October. In order to walk, I must raise a minimum of $2300. I am doing pretty well with the help of many of you here, and others as well. So far I am up to $1119.98 (yeah.. there was an odd donation of $24.98 in there... lol). I want to put up a challenge... Can BadWeb get me there??? Do you think??? The difference to make it to $2300 at this time is $1180.02. And if you fine folks can get me there, I'm going to have the BadWeb Shield put on my shirt (if that is ok with Blake, of course). So, whadaya say!!! Also, for any donation of $75 or higher, I will put a name of your choosing on the shirt. Just let me know the name, and if it is in "Honor" of or "In Memory" of. when is the deadline for this as I would like to participate so I can get my sisters mom's name on your shirt since she has been diagnosed with breast cancer but I would have to wait until next week. | ||

This stuff is SO cool. It really shows just what you can do when a lot of folks with big hearts all do a little bit and you end up with a HUGE result. Folks sometimes forget that $5, $20 or $100 . . . anything you can chip in to something like this moves the ball a bit closer to the goal line. I had the great pleasure of being invited to ride both the opening and closing legs of the 1st Komen Pony Express Ride and I'm convinced that Breast Cancer is one of the dreaded cancers we'll conquer in my lifetime. This is BadWeB . . more accurately. . the people of BadWeB at their best. | ||

A truly worthwhile cause, and gentlemen, remember breast cancer CAN and DOES affect men too, one of my closest friends had to have a radical mastectomy about 2 years ago because of this dreaded disease. | ||
