>>Townshend's paper, which he once posted on his official web site, also notes that the "pathway to 'free' paedophilic imagery is--as it were--laid out like a free line of cocaine at a decadent cocktail party: only the strong willed or terminally uncurious can resist." << I was a big fan, but Pete lost me right there. Uncle Ernie indeed. |

My expectations weren't real high but I thought they were ok all things considered. Still, I have to agree with the "why do we keep dragging out all these old farts" sentiment - I mean, not like they've been doing anything new and relevant at all for a decade or two. I know a lot of the new music out there is crap, but still... And I'm a certified old fart myself. |

I didn't see it because I was working, but it's tough - White City was one of my favourite tunes ever, and he was cleared of all charges, but that quote I find disturbing. edited for speelung (Message edited by danger_dave on February 08, 2010) |

Never was a fan of the Who back in the day. Seemed like a lot of screaming, banging, self gratifying...then trashing ALL of there equipment. Not much music, just an angry show. They didn't change much except they didn't trash there gear. |

They found him because he used his credit card(which he admitted) to enter a child porn site. His explaination was that he was doing "research". He looked at the pictures, but he didn't download them to his computer(like his good friend Gary Glitter), so he must be innocent. Oh and he was "horrified". Michael Jackson was exonerated by the legal system as well. I am not the all time prude, but he can't be just a little dirty from this one. |

Ugh. Watching, I was just in the "there go the self centered baby boomers going off and sucking up all the oxygen by saying only their generation matters." I looked at them performing and thought "geesh, what, nobody since 1974 has any talent?". I forgot about the whole Pete Townsend thing. What the heck were they thinking? |
