For those of you that dont recall: Last February me and a friend hauled our bikes down to Bumpus in Murfreesburo TN and rode to southern florida and back. Thread here. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/496 363/433670.html On to this year, I had so much fun that I decided to do it again. Im riding my new 1125r this time. The 2 guys Im going down with this time will be on Harleys. I made the decision last week. I have told nobody but my boss,wife, and two friends. Yesterday I was helping my dad on the farm and he tells me that he decided not to go to mexico this year and he is going to the florida keys instead. My ears perked and I asked him when. Turns out he will be there at the same time I plan to be there. What are the odds? I didnt tell him yet. I might not. Im thinking of just showing up and suprising him. Im working on finding out where he is staying so I can stay at the same hotel. Good plan? | ||

Neil, If your up for it Id love to meet up with you and your wife again. I should be running through your area on Monday March 1st. Our tenative plan is to leave MN the evening of Feb 26th for Tenn. I have a friend there that I plan to visit with on Sat. Sunday we ride to valdosta, roughly 500 miles. Monday ride to Fort Myers a little ove 350 miles. Tuesday ride down the Tamiami trail through the everglades all the way to key west, 280 miles. Wed we are leaving open if dont have any breakdown or bad weather slowing us down this will be a relaxation day. Thursday we head up the coast 500 miles or so. Thinking Palm Coast. Friday we hope to make Suches and stay at T.W.O. 500 miles. Saturday is hopefully a run up the dragon and over to nashville, 370 miles or so. Est 3000 miles with added running around.Sunday haul home. | ||

damnit, really was hoping you'd be coming through on a saturday like last year. it sucks working direct when you can't just take time off when you want so trying to get off on a monday might be a little hard. if nothing else if your packing like last year and you want to wash some clothes, i can hide a key to the house so you can stop in and wash them. then if nothing else, maybe i can scoot out of work a little early. | ||

I am packing similar to last year. Im plan to stay in Fort Myers at the same hotel Dan and I stayed at last year. It has laundry across the street. Thanks for the offer though. 21 days to go! | ||
