We ran down there after work tonight. Didn't see any sticker sheets. Did see a pallet or two of 4-panel displays, 4 images in a line about 1'x3' or so, maybe bigger, priced at an asking price of $20 per four in a box. Looked like a total of 8 different ones so two boxes gets the full set. There was also a pallet of bike lift banners, two styles, a long one and a short one. Two short ones rolled up in a box or 8 long ones in a long box, Buell new logo one one end and text on the other, short ones had the logo and some stripes or something on the other end. I saw at least 12-20 more rear stands, maybe that many benchtop engine stands, and a couple rolling / pivoting engine stands. Prices seemed to be about $20 for the small stands and $60-$90 for the rolling engine stands. Saw the race van and big truck but no trailers. I'll try to post pics of the 4-panel art tomorrow. Sad walking around but glad I went. |

I would not use it on the front end. They were not over built and were designed for the width of the rear. I have my bike on it with a jack at the front jack-point right now. I'm getting new rubber on the front this week. After that I'll try and put together a post on the dimensions of it. I was looking and mine has a plate welded on and stamped "BUELL R&D TOM ANGLIM". I picked it over the others, because of the white plastic pads on the bottom. I'll probably use grey primer on it to keep it from rusting in my unheated garage. |

The stickers must be gone. They were right in between the 4 panel displays and the lift banners. I overheard one of the people in charge telling some of the locals to check back in next week because there was some stuff in the other building to be brought over. |

Well, I might be going again next week, but no promises! If I do, I will definitely buy extras. The funeral analogies seem fitting but I've got another take. For any Nine Inch Nails fan here, you know that Trent has said he isn't touring anymore, and most of his equipment went up on ebay. But, this isn't the end, he is just starting a new chapter. Kinda like Erik, it is just a new beginning. And yes, I am drinking, and watching NIN's last tour (http://thisoneisonus.org/node/34). |

Here's the link to the liquidators http://www.liquidassetpartners.com/currentliquidat ions/liquidation341.html I don't know if they can take payments or orders over the phone. I'll upload the panel pics later today so folks can decide if those are something they'd like. There were also a bunch of specialty tools over towards the middle west wall of the building. Looked like things someone modified or re-fab'd to work with their equipment. Lots of creative folks worked there with some freedom to fix or modify tools if necessary. Kind of reminded me of my dad's machine shop and trying to figure out what some item was used for. |

Some pics: This was sitting on a shelf, don't know if it is something someone forgot, or if it was a form of gallows humor (h-d giving Buell the boot), so I threw it in with the stuff we got in case there is a story behind it or if one of the Buell Elves would like it. Let me know if you know.
I don't know why I grabbed this, maybe to go along with my bicycle hobby to hang up above where I box a bike at in the garage. It was just laying on a pallet probably headed to the dumpster.
I did find one of the videos, probably the short one uploaded to youtube by someone.
My wife found these signed posters laying somewhere
Here is what a full panel looks like, about 46" long x 11.75" tall. 7 panels are four pics each, one is three pics with the center pic wider than the side pics.
panel 1 (not in any order, and I don't know which four are grouped together in the boxed sets)
panel 2
panel 3
panel 4

It would be neat to know who the photographers are and who the people in the pics are so I could write that on the back of the panels. |

I would love to have any of the above. All this stuff is just cool to me and would love to have it hanging up next to the bike. The circumstances to which they became available still sucks though. |

If anybody wants to pig out on those stands and unload them here.......GO FOR IT! I'm sure more than just a couple of us would like useful bit memorabilia.I will gladly take one and if any are left over that aren't snapped up right away........I'd take 3 more since I have 4 Buells that sit for the Winter. |

Just got back from my trip to East Troy. I think it was worth the 300 mile round trip. It was pretty depressing. Old ladies buying staplers and trash cans. It was hard to tell that bikes had ever been built there. I picked up the same panels mike did. Looks like he got all of the good posters, but I found a old S1 poster buried with safty signs. Also got the bike lift signs. I grabbed a handfull of DVD's if anyone wants one. $10 to my paypal will cover shipping and my costs. No I am not trying to get rich, just get people Dvd's if they want them. My best score was a "Station 8" sign off of one of the crane fixtures. It was still bolted to the steel, but I found some wrenches and took it down myself. Also got an engine stand and a couple snap on wrenches. It didn't really seem like there were great deals. $550 for bike lifts. Buell Racing van $10,500. Overall very sad. I have probably been to the factory a dozen times or more. The first time was in 1997 or 98. Walking around made me remember a lot of interesting things and people. It sucks, but I am glad I went. Here's some pics.

Yesterday the bike lifts were around $750 so prices are dropping. I'd have got a few more things but I'm tapped out for weeks. The DVD box must be floating around. I did see a box of 5-1/4" and 3.5" floppy disks with stuff like "inventory" written on them, who knows what other data is on them. |

It's the same video that someone has posted here. It's about 4 minutes long with some old pictures, interviews and a scrolling list of employees names. Just something neat to have. Jeff |

That shirt pre- dates Harley-davidson involvement and caused some significant controversy in 1992. |

Interestingly the first place I had seen any reference was in Berlin, Germany 2002 at Classic Bike's old shop in Kreuzberg (which is DEFINITELY a different part of Berlin than where they are now).
I also met Eugene (Ptown on here) then after seeing his X1 Millennium - with an Erik Buell signed flyscreen no less - parked at the shopping mall next to my hotel.
Ahhh, the memories... 1313 |

I was there today at noon and got the panel set and the last rear stand with plastic guards. Also found a box labeled "Buell Garage Graphiti Set" Wasn't sure what it was because it was tucked away but I grabbed it up and thought I would run the chance of it being nothing. Turns out it was the sticker set mentioned earlier. I was stoked. I was going to go down there yesterday but after someone said the stickers were gone I decided not to go. This morning decided I wanted the picture panel set so we headed down. Still a bunch of office equipment left. Amazing how bare it was. Van was down to $9500 and they would have went lower. They were cutting prices on everything. I also picked up 4 of the DVDs. Someone mentioned the 1125CR and 1125R's. Wow there were about 60-70 of them there. About 30 stashed by the rolling dynos and 40+ on the other side of the wall. Looks like they are all waiting on some part because they all had the front cowl/fairings off. No white ones. There wa also about 10 various Buells that we were told used to be demos and some had dealer purchased sheets and one had a "HD Corp." tag on it. It was a Lightning that looked older. Forgot my camera at home. Also 4 palleted bikes sitting out back. Left feeling very sad but glad I got something from the factory. I hope that the elves all got a bunch of the stuff earlier in the week. Stopped in by EBR and there were 2 trucks there but we didn't get out and see if the door was open. |

That Buell Motorcycle Company sign above that Jeffb posted a pic of is for sale for $500. If I had my truck I would have offered them $300 for it but we had the car. Cool sign. |
