Ourdee, Are the closing hours for today or the open hours for tomorrow posted? How about a report on what's left and what sort or prices they have things tagged at? Thanks. For the decal requests, I am not sure what I am going to do with them, but I'll keep you guys in mind. And yes, the items I bought are definitely at a good home. My little "corner office" is starting to look like a Buell shrine! I just have to figure out how to hang my signed S1 fairing, I've got a spot for it. Looking forward to Ourdee's update. | ||

There were about 10 or 15 boxes of decals left. comes one big sheet and one small sheet in a box. They are marked $25 a box. I just took a big sheet that had dirt on it up front and asked the guy if I could have the dirty one for 5 bucks. He said yes. You have to pay state tax and some 10% fee. I'll post more in a few minutes. | ||

I wish I was in that area... The first thing I thought about when I saw the tool cabinets and tools was, "Man, it would be cool to work on my Buell using the very tools that may have built it in the fist place.." I wonder if in their little tooly minds they would say "Hey there! I remember you!"... | ||

OK. I started to get out my camera, but felt like it would be like taking pictures of a funeral. It was not the plant any of you had toured. So, out of respect I didn't. I found 2 25th anniv. posters.  1 corner poster.  the sheet of decals.  and......and......for only 17 bucks my xt gets it's center stand back. Well that is how easy it is to get it up on it.  This one had all the white plastic pads, under it, and on the inside to protect the swing arm, and the bolts were machined special. This stand is the stuff! There were some more of them around. Make sure you get the bolts that go with it. There was some other stuff. The tools were at half or less of retail. The computers are there. It was just sad to me. I wasn't looking for tools or furniture, just some memorabilia and the stand. I may draw out the measurements of the stand later if there is interest in it. If you have an XB or 1125 and live within 50 miles of the plant, go get one. I remember every plant tour I took, I watched the elves roll the bike off the cart and this stand was dragged along behind. I thought it was neat. Later, about 11:30, I didn't want to be there any longer. I went over to Erik Buell Racing and rode the new barracuda II........NOT. The door was locked and some of the workers were going to lunch. One of them said he didn't know if Erik was inside and the others stayed strangely quiet. I didn't want to disturb him really and I knew they had a busy day. So, I got out of their hair and went home. I'm not giving out names either. I was hoping to run into Court, I would have pestered him cause he is never busy.  | ||

There are tool cabinets, more like lockers left. Most of tools that you would use to work on it in your garage are gone. There was some touch-up paint and some anti seize type stuff. | ||

Seamed like all the relations that didn't even like Aunt Alice swarmed her estate before her carcase was even cold. I didn't like it, just doesn't seam right. I look at it this way: Would Aunt Alice want her stuff to go to someone who knew her and would remember her when they looked at and used the stuff, or would she rather it go to the highest paying stranger, or would she rather it all be thrown in the trash and have people find their own dang stuff like she had to do? If I go it will be for mementos, and if I can also get some use out of whatever it is then so much the better. The liquidator site mentions trailers and trucks, did you see any of those there? I can't afford anything right now but I can hope. And I don't know but I suspect any revenue will filter to h-d_corp, don't know if any percentage is earmarked for next door. And I do hope Erik and his remaining crew got first dibs on stuff before it was offered to the general public. Oh well, life goes on. Perhaps in a few years I'll be dragging a trailer to Pilgrim Road looking for left behind stuff. Thanks for the reports. Probably not worth the drive down there with less than $30 to spare. | ||

Mikej, If you go, the race-van and the big black truck were there along with a single place enclosed HD trailer and a 30 or 40 footer. Trick is to put in an offer on big stuff with your contact info. If you are high offer on the last day and it is still there, you get it. Go get a stand for memory sake. Tell them you will give them 5 dollars. See what happens. Neverenough, PM me an address and I'll mail you a cyclone sticker no charge. Damnut, I didn't see any large shields or small. Bobbuell, It has a bolt on each side. If I don't get something together in the next week, PM me so that I get on the ball with it. Sorry Guys, I'm not going back up there soon. I know they will drop to 20 on the stickers in the box. You may be able to get them to 15 it you talk to one of the higher ups. I was trying to get them to 5 a box so I could give them away, no luck. | ||
