Indy's social survey gave me a twisted idea of my own. Post up any pics of cool scars or breaks you may have with a short description of how it happened. I'll start... Flag football injury 06/09
Hit by a Chevy on my bike 12/29
Hopefully this doesn't get dumped... |

I've been real lucky. No need for pix. I have only broken my wrist motorcycle crashing, and dislocated shoulder 3X. My friend David blew up his lower right leg worse than yours. After 1.5 years, he's finally getting better, but leg is now an inch shorter than the other. Heal well. |

No pic but I got my finger bit off in a bar fight. It was hanging on by about a 1/4 in of skin. It was put back on, but it still looks weird. |

I've had more than my fair share of injuries. Stitches 6 or 7 times, countless scrapes and bruises from mountain biking and bmx. Broke my collarbone and got a concussion riding my BMX bike a couple years ago. Tore something in my shoulder that took 6-8 weeks to heal last year mountain biking (never went to the doctor, no insurance at the time) couldn't pour a gallon of milk for a month with that arm. Then just as that injury was mostly healed I broke both my heels running and jumping over a ditch. 8 months later and I'm doing pretty good, not at 100% yet but I can ride my mountain bike again so I'm happy. About an hour after it happened. New hardware 8 screws and a plate in each heel. Left side is left heel, right is right.

I bet that sucked to walk on! You sound like me 14d. I ripped my hand open trying to pull a j-box out of a wall on a job. Got 14 stictches and was back before the end of the day to help the crew clean up. I didn't even mention that countless concussions, broken noses, broken fingers and muscle pulls from growing up playing football. Blew my left knee out, never had surgery. Blew my right knee out, got two screws and a billy goat's acl in that one. I'd love to see a full body scan of myself! |

No pics, but went deer hunting with my RZ350 22 years ago. Separated shoulder, broken wrist, two dislocated fingers, a dislocated thumb, and four nice patches of road rash where I wore through my leathers. I wish I had a picture of my hand, it looked pretty wild with fingers pointing in all different directions. |

I'll try to dig up some pictures to post, but here is a list of some things. Concussion. Broken nose 2 times. Fractured sternum. Dislocated shoulder. Torn rotator cuff 2 times. Not related to above dislocation. Numerous fractured ribs. Fractured both ankles. Fractured foot 2 times (First cast when I was 5). Dislocated toe. It was stuck straight out to the side. These all happened at different times. I've had stitches too many times to count. I know I had stitches 3 times by 4 years old. My mom kept a journal and it's a good read. I've played rough my whole life and healed well from most of those. What slowed me down was my last shoulder surgery when some how my veins got screwed up from the anesthesia/IV (opposite side of body). Can't prove anything because I was asleep and still don't have a straight diagnosis. I'll have my 24th doctor visit for the issues next Tuesday. (Message edited by dentguy on January 28, 2010) |
