I am confused, is Queenofspeed a guy or a gal... and if it is a guy using a gals account because he got banned... WTF??? I am not judging I am just asking a question because I am confused... Also, if you look at all the redundant threads on oh let's say for example Climate Change... it is usually the same four or five people prosetylizing about thier beliefs... they are bent on converting people... I don't know why they feel the need to preach day in and day out about it... but it is annoying... so it is best to just ignore them because I don't think any of us will go away... Queenofspeed, it is just a few people and they are easy to ignore. Froggy nailed it but yes, it is a little different from years ago. Not better or worse, just different. The good out weighs the bad. The only thing that makes me sad is we lost Doc (Leatherneck) on the BadWeb due to some racist comments on this site but he stops by the house every month or so to get on the computer so all is good. I need to get back to your shop some day and chat with you and Cil. I really want to go to the salt with you guys next year but will need to see what my vacation looks like. I saw where some people that were banned were allowed to post on the site again. I was hoping I would see your name as well. | ||

Why would the owner of a business post controversial and disparaging comments on Badweb? That simply ain't good business, Queenofspeed/Buellidan. You need to be the friend of everybody here if you wish to maximize your revenue. There were always be disagreements on this and every other board in existence. Why antagonize potential customers? The fact of life is that some potential customers will not employ your services simply because they disagree with your behavior on Badweb. The smart sponsors keep their yappers shut when it comes to non Buell issues and let the civilians fling the mud. | ||

For the most part, look at the shit almost all of us have been through the past two years or so. We lost the continuation of our favorite brand of motorcycles. At the same time the World economy is so far in the crapper it is messing with nearly everybody else also. Terrorism in the daily news, war, murder, mayhem, unending debt, health issues, bad things that we often inadvertently always have put in front of us. Unemployment, job changes, and redirection of small business companies for survival, big corporations failing, scaling, or laying low while their CEO's make off with their capital that was attained through loans to keep the companies afloat. All of that has added additional pressures to business and political leaders, and all of that crap rolls down hill. Just like the new tax on banks that will be passed through to us, so that we get to pay back the monies they borrowed from us to keep their sorry overspending asses from closing. Yeah, we get to pay us back for the money they spent.  My point is, though it is winter and the normal doldrums persist, it is no wonder these threads on Quick Board are looming where they are. This particular posting board is a reflection of things happening in peoples lives. These kind of times are indicative of people getting more involved, or re-involved in politics and religion. Quick Board seems to be the place to vent. Since many of us have come to know each other outside this forum, and have made good friends on line through the banter here, and or live vicariously through one and other, we all matter to each other. So long live BadWeB. I suspect most of our found friendships can out live a company, a machine, and a forum. No reason BadWeB cannot live on as a social gathering place of like minded Buell owners, former owners, and those who would still like to be a Buell owner or rider. Due to the discontinuation of the Company, it would stand that there will be fewer new BadWeB members going forward. That is unless we all can keep supporting Erik and EBR. Who knows what can come of that.....I count 174 or so years to go! Want to help Mark fix his Uly.....go to BB&D. Want to discuss how fast and 1125R can go.....go to 1125r Board. To know what is happening in the world of Blasters.....Thump. The XB Board.....well, there it is. Along with all of the other Boards to fit your interests. And if your mind is overflowing with crap you want or need to let out.....Ta-Da! Quick Board to the rescue! | ||

The observation was wrong but I think the questionn is valid as to what will happeen to Badweb now with Buell closing and most likley sponsors (especially old Buell dealers) leaving. I can't help you if you can't see it for yourself. Your thread and questions don't bother me in the slightest but other people with cash in their back pocket might not agree. My business is doing just fine and if somebody was upset but what I wrote I don't think I would want them as a customer anyways as they obviously are way too sensitive and would just be a PITA!! | ||

As some others have also said it seems like religion is becoming a much more prevelant topic and I was wondering what others felt about it. Ok Dan I'll bite. I think BadWeb will be better than ever, with the abundance of great minds on here there should never be a shortage of sponsors. I would expect an even bigger supply of aftermarket buell parts and accessories actually being produced by our board members, and some new small businesses that will come out of all this. Any of the HD dealers that stay on as sponsors already knew they had a great product to sell and service, and they also knew they had a different kind of owner then they were used to dealing with. Any that decide to drop the line as a whole or do not continue sponsoring this very important site, well they probably didn't contribute much anyways. I'm sure i missed a few things, but you get the point! Quit your trolling we'll all be fine.  | ||

What Vern said. To address the thread's question, I too wonder how the Badweb will mutate over time. I remember the first March Badness I got to attend and all the fine folks I got to meet/ride/party/use Bengay with, and I believe the Badweb will continue well into the future. We Buell enthusiasts have proven that we will not go quietly into that dark night... Regarding the economics of maintaining the site as Buell dealer sponsorship becomes a question, perhaps the Badweb will become even more important to those who own or want to own the remaining bikes out there. Smart dealers will service and support these bikes going out at least 7 years, per the Moco's pledge. (At least I hope this will be the case.) No harm, no foul Queefonspeed, I get yer drift. | ||

Dan no disrespect but lots of people don't know the whole or even part of the history behind why you won't sponsor here nor does Blake.... and you know that cares if you do or don't. Thats a old dog and that should be put rest. Its tiring when it surfaces. As far as you not sponsoring here??? I guess thats you passing up sales to possibly help your own Business to other enthusiasts of the same brand that you of all people love lots more then most. I find that ignorant no pun intended. Dana, Yes i love Buells and our Bonneville team holds more land speed records with Buells than anybody. But honestly Buells are maybe 15% of my business and that number will only get less as there will be no new Buells being made. And we all know that as folks bikes get older many of them will be junked as they become too expensive to fix. The market share is only going down from this point forward. Yes it is a shame that Blake and i cannot mend our fences as I really love the Badweb and would like to sponsor it but with Blake in charge that is just never going to happen. I have made many great friends through Badweb and would hate to see it die. Doubtful i will make homecoming. It does sound like a great event. why couldn't BRAG do this for the last few years? If thats the insight you have to the future of Buell for you I guess I understand. But understand there are select few great engine builders for per-say the old 2 stroke kawi's. Some one has to scoop up that business to keep the dream alive. I kinda feel that people will strive to keep them running as well. These dealers as time goes by will probably get worse as time goes on because they are not familiar with the Buell product any longer so they can't work out the quirks. But you can in the engine department just like Pammy or Brian. I would still want to be part of it if I still indeed enjoyed the brand. | ||
