Most of us here are motorcycle enthusiasts whose interest transcends any particular brand, although we do have our favorites. I was curious about what bikes are on your list to own. So what bikes are on your list and why? Here’s my 5: 1. Ducati 1198S – I love V-twins. A return to styling like the beloved Tamburini designed 916 that I fell in lust with way before I knew how to ride. This was going to be my next bike before HD decided to discontinue Buell. There was no way Buell was going down without me owning a new CR and no, the incentives didn’t hurt either. 2. Aprilia RSV4 Factory – it’s still a V, that counts doesn’t it? I’d take one now, engine recall and all. 3. MV Agusta Brutale 1090RR – I will make an exception to my preference for V-twin’s for this one. plskkthx 4. BMW S1000RR – The K1200R was a little too big for me but BMW got this one right even if they just couldn’t make the headlights symmetrical. KTM 1190 RC8R – did I mention I love V-twin’s? Nels

I wouldn't kick BMW's Concept 6 bike out of my garage, if you know what I mean. And Kawasaki's C14 continues to place high on my list.

Buell S1, it is just raw brutal bike. Buell Ulysses, just all around great. The lowly Blast, the bike with a hundred possibilities. Honda SL70, I was at the shop the other night and one was being worked on, it still drew me to it just like I was 12 years old. Honda 125 Elsinore, 1974, once you get it leaned out from the factory settings it would really rip! Sorry, no pictures, I wish I took the time.

@Brumbear: Oh man, a Brough Superior, the mind reels... That bike is so far above my list, it might as well be the Millenium Falcon.

A Vincent, not necessarily a Black Lightning, there were several kewl models... An old Knucklehead. Rokon Trailbreaker. Yamaha WR400, with at least 2 sets of wheels. Suzuki XN85- my dream bike from childhood. Suzuki GS1000S. Yamaha GTS1000. Yamaha RZ350, Kenny Roberts edition pleeze. Suzuki RG500 Gamma. Guzzi Norge. A previously undiscovered, uncrated Britten. Pacific Coast Sleeper, first year, customized under the plastic for suspension and motor mods And a fiddy! I'll think of more later...

The only thing on the mass market that tickles my fancy at the moment is a Guzzi Stelvio. Brumbear, you'd have no prob's parking that Sturmgeschutze. I'd rather have a little Scorpion tank, those things fly.

"...what bikes are on your list to own. " Hmmm, bikes I'd hand over the cash for if I had it? I think, in no particular order... Honda RC30 Buell RR1000 or RR1200 '73 Ducati 750 Sport, but I'd settle for a 900SS Slabside GSXR750, an F or G model with the flat-slide carbs Buell S1W Moto-Guzzi LeMans I or II Suzuki 350 Goose They're all bikes I'd love to buy and keep. Of the newer stuff, an RSV4, 848 or S1000RR would be tasty... (Message edited by lemonchili_x1 on January 23, 2010)
