Jeez, I've been accused of poor taste in humour, but I'm strictly minor league compared to that. There were a few things on the site that made me grin though, notably the bit about pagans having "pre-stolen" the winter solstice from Jesus. That's what first rang bells for me. Don't think I'll be visiting again. | ||

I thought atheists were supposed to be intellectually enlightened. At least do a LITTLE research please. That is a stereotypical and presuming statement. I'm not an atheist. I just quit going to church. There will never be such an irrational thing as a talk about religion. There will never be agreement and debate, room for thought and interpretation. Just leaders and followers. I have a bible, I pray, I strive everyday to live a good life, as well as to improve the life of a stranger at least once a day. If that makes me atheist in your book, then so be it. | ||

It was just the outrageous displays that I saw. My intention was simple. QUICK BOARD AKA BS BOARD. same as anyone else. Just passing time. The baptist church I went to had a congregation full of child molesters, and the preacher did his best to make everyone feel like they were going to hell. I've been to several churches in my life, and through the years have decided that going to church would make as much sense as putting my hand in scalding water. | ||

The best thing that could happen to mankind would be for religion to end. It separates us more than it does good. How many have died of our kind in the name of god or religious ideology? Believe in a god or multiple gods or none at all if you wish, just keep it to yourself. Let your deeds be the true measure of worth. I haven't worked that idea through, I'm sure it is flawed and some will find holes in it's premise, but it makes sense to me. Live and let live; appreciate life (including your own); help those along the way as best you can; be honest, loving and positive. |
