If EBR has an agreement from Harley to Build the 1125,who says they couldnt build the Baracuda.First a couple of race bikes then street bikes. It's a little money for Harley and a new bike for us.I have my fingers crossed. |

The licensing agreement is for ONE YEAR only. It will NOT be renewed. |

Why won't it be renewed? What happens to EBR then? |

it will be interesting to hear what Erik has to say at homecoming this year. I just can't believe that Erik would be spending this money to set-up a racing company to only have one year to use it. Lot of money and many hours of work for just one year? I guess we'll see sooner or later. |

I can understand the one year thing as there was a 2010 model buell so he is just trying to support the racers in the final year of egibility in some areas of racing. I do think he has something up his sleeve as I asked a question on face book one time jokingly about when we would se a street version 1190 no excpecting anything more than a "we dont talk about future products" or no answer at all, but to my suprise he simply stated he will be concentration on race bikes for this year and then we will see what happens after that. |

also if you remember last time he sold motorcycle parts it was to fund his creation of his first motorcycle so maybe that is his plan this time around as well. |

His newly founded race-bike company has been crushed once before due to a sudden change in racing rules. I assume that's in the back of his mind right now. More streetbikes MUST be in the works! |

Firebolt - This is the second time I've seen you post this. I think you need to check the rule books, or what racing org are you talking about? Just because the bike is not manufactured does not mean that it instantly becomes ineligible. |

So does anyone think the Baracuda is still a posibility? Yes, oh yes please. It does make you wonder, why do all this for one year? The only reasons I can think of- Erik wants to support the racers that purchased the bikes as he seems like A class act. He wants to raise some money for A new company. He's just bored and needs somethying to do. It's part of his master plan to take over the Earth. I think all of the above. |

I can see Brain building the Barracuda, then the whole thing explodes when Pinky puts tassels on it so it can be sold at HD dealers. |

or, just a thought here, and maybe a little far fetched, but EBR could become the next Yoshimura, building up the cream of whatever is out there into world beaters.......and what better way to take over the world? |

According to last years DMG/AMA rule book I saw online earlier this year once a motorcycle passes homologation it is good for 3 years as long as it still meets class regulations. Later I will do some digging and come up with the exact rule but that is what I remember and my own "justification" that he would start such a business with only 1 year of licensing for the bikes. He would continue to provide support and parts for another 3 years for the 2010 models and work on other stuff in the meantime. Here's to hoping at least! |

"If EBR has an agreement from Harley to Build the 1125,who says they couldnt build the Baracuda." The Cuda is an entirely new machine that hasn't seen production other than prototypes. There's no parts for it and HD's licensing agreement isn't for building new EBR bikes that were Buell/HD projects. |

So does anyone think the Baracuda is still a posibility? Yup, it's been on sale since 2008. If you're talking about the Barracuda II, then, well, it's still going to take a decent about of capital to get it to market. We still have 3 molds for it sitting in the back of the shop. 1 of them is marked up with some pretty significant changes. |

>>>Later I will do some digging and come up with the exact rule Dave and I have posted the EXACT rule several times . . . there is NO TIME LIMIT. Once a bike becomes legal . . . it is legal until the rules change or someone declares it illegal. |
