I believe that Jwblue felt that "linky no worky" to be a slur on Asian-Americans. This goes way back to old Mad Magazine-type representations of Chinese laundries, where the old standard "joke" was "No tickee, no shirt-ee!" I think this old reference is lost on most younger folks in this country. I think it's just one of those old lines that no longer carries for most people the racial tone it once did... but obviously, for some people, I guess it does. I think it's actually a testament to how times have changed that all of you have no idea that what was written could be construed as offensive in a racial way! Friggin' bike forum.
