"Red Stag is a big seller by me. I got Buellinachinashop hooked on it." I cut it with Coke. I was getting too pissed up drinking it straight. |

+1 on the Guiness, or a good locally brewed stout or porter. |

Kinda a waste using Patron Citronge and Grand Marnier together. Both basically a orange liquor. Thats bunching up to much of one flavor. Grand Marnier is a much better booze then Patron also. |

I used to work about 2 blocks from Guinness, St. James gate that is...not that great of an area but, damn the torpedoes. Riding a bicycle to work every day in Dublin was far more dangerous than riding a motorcycle in th U.S. |

Jameson and water are tough to beat but, jameson and ginger-ale is another great combo. |

If it was an exhausting ride, a couple Irish car bombs. Extra stout with a shot or two of whiskey, mmm mmmm. My flat mate puts vodka in his water bottle when he goes to ride his bike, never knew why, just figured he liked his vodka. |

Yeah, Irish car bombs aren't for the meak. Have you tried boiler makers? Those are good I think. Or Bloody Mary's, picked up the recipe on the net. Apparently they're popular in the States. |

Meak, as in taste buds. I only have a fine tongue for brandy, so mixing alcohol with more alcohol is just more alcohol. In other words, I don't have a problem downing car bombs cause they taste like silly strong ale. |

well that's lovely since I'm just across the f*cking ocean. If I ever go on holiday to the States I'll be sure to stop by to take advantage of that offer. Till then... I'm stuck with my 'British' version of a Bloody Mary. Any tips on how to perk it up a bit? |

Y'know it's a kinda candy drink... but we had some fresh-squeezed tangerine juice and Southern Comfort over ice in mid-summer heat. |

Add/substitute clam juice, Tomato juice, pureed tomatoe pulp. NO Southern Comfort. A little Worcestershire sauce. Maybe some lemon and lime. Potatoe vodka to taste. Good pork/beef broth to finish. (Message edited by 86129squids on January 19, 2010) |

Clam juice? Never heard that before, nor pork broth or beef broth, how about chicken broth? About the tobasco bit, should it be spicy spicy? Or just add a bit of a kick? And lastly, will a beef or oxtail consommé work the same as a broth? I love oxtail consommé on cold days, or a Baby's Head. Or a Babbys Yead as some of the Notlobs (people of Bolton) call it. |

Tried the clam juice. That's literally what I did, spit it out but my my flat mate was in between me in the sink and he got hit with it right in the face. Vodka must sting when it gets in the eyes because he almost broke the f*ckin tap to wash his eyes out. So, in other words, the clam juice was a horrible idea. |

Who in the heck would put heck would put a top shelf Vodka in a Bloody Mary??? Your not going to taste it for one. 2 your spending money for nothing. But thats up to you. In my 13 years of the try this 1.Zing Zang bloody mary pre-mix... or a good tomato juice. 2.A rail vodka will do but your choice.lol 3. A dash of Lea & Perrins Worcestershire 4. A dash of hot tobasco 5.pepper,celery salt and garnish with a stick of celery, olives, and sweet chilli pepper. These items make up a real great Bloody Mary with any Vodka. You may find yourself adding more Lea & Perrins Worcestershire or tobasco to get you to that happy spot of how you like the drink. Anyone want to try one Come to Homecoming and I can bring you there. |
