I am looking at adding a gps to my 09 Ss. I like that there is a Buell specific gps and it seemsi can store music on it. I am wondering what others have done with other GPS units or had opinions on the "official" unit. |

Garmin Zumo systems can store/operate 2Gb cards and you can listen. Zumo 550 will support bluetooth but the 450 does fine with headphones or external speakers. The "Buell" branded just also has the dealers loaded into the database (like that is gonna help anybody NOW!!) I love the 450 that I own and it's easy to learn and also easy to operate with a gloved hand. Touch screen is excellent - but get a disposable stick-on clear protective layer if you use it around any dirt. |

Older versions were limited to 2gb, but if you download the firmware updates it will allow you to put in larger cards. |

I have had a Zumo 450 for 2 years and last summer converted it to a 550 equivalent by adding a $40 bluetooth dongle that you plug into the side thereby giving full blue tooth capability to my helmet speakers for traffic directions and MP3 songs. Works well and was a lot cheaper than upgrading from 450 to a 550. |

Cool on the upgrades, didn't know!... I've never felt the need so just haven't looked - but I still love the 450... use the snot out of it and still mount it up for short rides that I've done hundreds of times - just because it's so cool and fun when you're on the boring (straight) sections. |
