Well, my Chargers just got knocked out of the playoffs by the Jets and life is most definitely not good right now. At least for me. However, on the drive home tonight, my Ipod playlist was set to James Bond movie themes and that cheered me up as I dodged angry and drunk Chargers fans on the ride home. I am in a James Bond mood mode and here are the questions that I posit. YMMV. 1) Best/Worst James Bond movie. 2) Best/Lamest Bond. 3) Best Bond novel. 4) Best Bond song. 5) Best/Worst Bond girl. 6) Best/Worst Bond villain. 7) Best Ernst Stavro Blofeld. Here are the correct answers 1) Best: On Her Majesties Secret Service Worst: Octopussy/For Your Eyes Only. Anything with Timothy Dalton. 2) Best Bond: George Lazenby (hands down). Daniel Craig is coming on strong. Lamest Bond: Timothy Dalton. 3)From Russia With Love. 4) Tough one. Tie goes to Thunderball (Tom Jones) and Goldfinger (Shirly Bassey). Second place to "On Her Majesties Secret Service (John Barry). 5) Halle Berry/Ursula Andress-best Tie to Barbara Carrera "Never Say Never Again" Dr. Christmas Jones-worst. 6) Best Red Grant- "From Russia with Love" Worst: Scaramanga "The Man with the Golden Gun" 7) Telly Savalas -best Erik Stavro Buell -tie |

1) Best: Casino Royale. Worst: All the Dalton movies. 2) Best: Craig. Worst: Dalton. 3) Live and Let Die 4) View To A Kill (that's a guilty pleasure, there). 5) Best: Jill St John (Diamonds Are Forever--hubba hubba). Worst: Barbara Bach (Spy Who Loved Me--otherwise a great movie). 6) Best: Auric Goldfinger (Goldfinger). Worst: Max Zorin (View To A Kill). 7) Donald Pleasance (You Only Live Twice). Nice job, Reindog. That's an interesting set of questions. I grew up in the Roger Moore era, but despite my affection for Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker (and View To A Kill for Grace Jones alone), I have to say Moore was a weak Bond. Connery was (usually) much better. I enjoyed all the Brosnan movies and none of the Dalton ones. Craig blew them all out of the water with Casino Royale . |

Craig by far, is better than Dalton and Roger Moore. Roger's series were just too silly. Dalton wasn't that bad, just not up to the James Bond legend. |

Daniel Craig is the best...after the legendary Sean Connery (I mean c'mon he practically made Bond with his corny lines and suave charm) The worst would be a hard toss up for me. Dalton wins slightly over Pierce Brosnan who I dislike with a passion. As villians go, I think Jaws was great! Stupid but great. Best Bond chick-Honor Blackman (Pu55y Galore) I just love her line toward the end when he says to her "they told me you only liked girls" she says "I never met a man before" Oh...and you forgot the best "M"? I love Judy Dench! |

The funny part is Dalton was the closest to the Bond in the books. |

George Lazenby rocked as Bond! He wore tacky 60's suits and haircuts. Telly Savalas's Blofeld murdered Diana Rigg who was one of the few Bond girls that didn't fall into the drain of obscurity. While looking at the camera, Lazenbond says, "This never happened to theother fellow". To his murdered wife, "We have all the time in the world." "You can can me Hilly". ----------------- My Bond picks in order: Lazenby Craig Brosnan/Connery (tie) Moore Dalton David Niven Barry Nelson |

Best Thunderball. Worst Any one with 'Jaws' Gotta Be Connery, just like Shatner, the classic was the best. Wost Bond Dalton Casino Royale is the only one I have read. Nobody does it better, but the Cornell vid intro is the best Ursuala Andress for pure sexy appeal, bikini and a knife Natalya Simonova favorited acting Bond Girl Worst Bond Girl Jane Seymore as a psychic Best Villian Thunderball / Largo Worst JAWS (just lame) OK not Blofield, but Elliot Carver is my favorite villian. I HATE that liberal media wag the dog type of power monging napoleon. He deserved a more cruel death. And I am not entirely fond of the lack of Q branch from the latest batch. I enjoyed the toys |

My favorite line was "I feel a little stiffness coming on". Anyone remember which movie? |

I only dug Dalton in The Rocketeer. He plays a good Bosch (nazi), but not a good MI6 agent. I'd choose Connery for the best Bond, apart from the fact he was born where my parents are from, Edinburgh. |
