What would be a cheap camcorder that does the job. I need nothing expensive. Anyone have some good experiences with the cheap stuff |

Some cheap digital cameras can take video. My cheap Kodak camera takes amazing video, sound is kind of shi*ty and it's not exactly high quality HD footage. It's somewhat blocky and stutters like old video games. But it captured the Blue Angels at the last airshow very nice. |

I have a SLR that can do that but thats not what I'd like. Just something small, cheap and still does a pretty nifty job. |

Kodak Zi8, 1080, 720 @ 60fps, & 720 all HD, 5.3mp stills, uses any size SD card, mono pod mount. With fleabay couple extra batteries, 2 mono pods under $200. Been working great since September when I bought it. All the pics and vids I've posted since then on here are from it. |

http://www.amazon.com/Sony-DCR-DVD650-DVD-Handycam %C2%AE-Camcorder/dp/B001P3O3O0 We just got the Sony 650 camcorder and have really liked it. Records straight to disc and it will flip to camera with the flip of a switch and back. We used the fire out of it at Disney last summer, easily fit in my pocket and the 2000X zoom is the funk. I was standing at the front gate and could zoom into the top window of the castle. And it's not too expensive but seems to be well made. Book says it's easy to download videos to youtube and whatnot but I'm not into that. Good luck, we looked for weeks trying to decide what was right for us, there's tons of choices. |
