http://www.cycleworld.com/article.asp?section_id=4 1&article_id=2102 Much more info on the engine. Most interesting feature- direct fuel injection. |

"It has chain drive as every sportbike does" "It has real brakes—not decorator substitutes" More KC shots at Erik? |

Looks like the engine is mounted longitudinally (sp?) in the frame, so using a chain drive means at least one power-robbing 90 degree change in power delivery. A setup like that really cries out for a shaft drive... especially in a sport TOURER. However, the article implies it is a SPORT tourer, so who knows? I know I don't want to have to mess with a chain at the end of every day cleaning and lubing... I've gotten spoiled with Buell belts and Beemer shafts to go that route again. |

Good luck, and I applaud anyone that can take an idea or dream and turn it into a real EPA/DOT legal bike. Many have tried, most have failed. And some only make 125,000 + of the worlds coolest bikes ever.... KC does seem to have changed his writing style a bit in the last few years or so. |

I would like to see it work. Much better than the HD Clone Indian effort. It will probably be priced out our reach...rex |

Transverse water cooled V-4. I don't know that the world needs another Honda ST1300, but this time with pushrods and 2 valves/cylinder. A car engine in a motorcycle frame doesn't seem all that clever to me. |

Yeah, because V-configuration engines and 2-valve heads are SOOOOO automotive-only, lol I like it so far. I'm very interested in seeing what they do with it. |

My largest concern would bw weight. If the weight is what they are claiming and HP and TQ numbers are where they claim, this could be a real alternative. I love Guzzis, but they fail to deliver the experience I'd like. I think GM has shown that an "old tech" pushrod motor could be quite potent. The bevel drive won't steal any more power than the last 90• turn of a shaft drive would. |
