Finally got my new Icon ARC jacket ealier this evening. Just now though, I was rchecking out all the pockets and such and to my Protestant surprise found a St. Christopher medal in the breast/stash pocket. I'm not weirded out by it, it's just different. Anyone know why they put it there? What are peoples views on this? I post this here cause knowing companys, I'll have better luck at getting an answer here than contacting the company directly. |

That is what St Christopher Medals are for to guard you on your journey's, I'm not Catholic but was given one a few years ago which resides on the mirror of my truck. Very cool that they put one in the jacket. Are you sure the store you bought it at didn't place it in there? |

I used to wear one in every Speedway race that I entered. It was a gift from my lady. It helped to keep me from being totally nervous. It didn't help me from dislocating my shoulder three times. |

It is meant as a travelers blessing from Icon to the owners of their products! Only a fool would turn down a positive "blessing", especially from St. Christopher! ("Christ bearer") |

Vatican kind'a de-sainted St. Christopher but I like his story so much this Lutheran boy keeps his medal around. Google it, his is a righteous good story. |

U4euh, Icon put it in there. It's on a little leather loop on the top of the pocket so the medal hangs right in front of your heart. And in no way am I turned down by this, I rather like it actually. Definitely a plus for the buyers who are Catholic! Cough cough IRISH! cough cough. |

as an Irish (Cough Cough), Catholic (Cough, cough). The Pope did away w/St. Chris and others, plus he not only closed but also evicted the unbabtised protestants and other heathens out of Limbo. LOL |

Heathens, lol. Here, Catholics must be desperate for believers because they're letting all the Catholics who left the church to come back to the church. The website is Catholicscomehome.org |

I guess it is kinda like the guardian bells that you can hang on your bike also. I had one on my 9S when I wrecked back in 2004. Someone was heard saying 'I guess that bell didn't do you any good huh?" to which another riding buddy said " he wrecked on the only curve that didn't have a guard rail or a 600 foot drop off and he walked away unscratched, you figure it out!" LOL Do I believe, you bet I do! |

Take it as a happy thing. Now, technically, I'm lapsed, so I have little to say about detuned saints, but since Saint Jehosephat got rejected, I figure they might be wrong to saint someone, but just because a subsequent crew in the Vatican doesn't like a classic, doesn't mean the spiritual thought still doesn't count. ( that could be one reason i'm "lapsed"...I don't think I've been excommunicated, yet. ) |

Now St. Michael is the one. You cannot go wrong with an Arcangle. There are only four of those supers. He is also the patron of Police Officers. |
