Allright- I'm pretty much a nite owl, always have been. By the time I get off work I get home, get comfy, crack open a beer, watch the local news (ho-hum), then I get to enjoy Conan and Jimmy. Sometimes I watch Leno in his new time slot, but truthfully, it can be excruciating. ('Cept for last nite, he had Heidi Klum on.) My $.02- Leno is lame, Conan is doing OK but treading water, Fallon is reliably insane, he's the future of properly edgy late nite Teevee. Conan used to be a lot more entertaining in his later slot- heck, I miss the Masturbating Bear... haven't seen Triumph the Comic Insult dog lately either. Somehow, I think Conan will be the fall guy. All the while, Letterman gloats. | ||

I'm not a big Conan fan... I don't think the should have every moved Leno until he was ready to retire. He "was" the #1 late night guy since the Hugh Grant interview Plus, I'd like to go for a ride with him.... | ||

Leno was good on his old show, new one kinda sux. jimmy fallon's show is funny, but i can not STAND that guy... for what ever reason. Connan was good on his old show, but as the new tonight show host, it isn't all that great. i go to bed early now... | ||

Firstly this debate should only involve Conan and Leno because Fallon's show is awful. He seems so nervous on the show, that I can't stand to watch him squirm. IMO Conan is far funnier than Leno, but I always frequent www.jaylenosgarage.com to check out Jay's sweet cars. | ||

Leno wasn't good when he first took over for Johnny Carson and I remember Conan sucked when he got Letterman's old show. It seems it does take a while for a host to get comfortable when taking over a show from somebody else. The NBC suits are morons. Leno got shafted by them by forcing him to give up the tonight show because Conan threated to leave if he didn't get the show. Now they are a afraid to let Leno go to another Network and Conan is not doing as well as they thought. So now Conan is getting screwed. | ||

I personally like Leno on the earlier time slot. I would prefer they just left everything the way it is. I like Conan as well but he is generally on too late for me. | ||

Maybe I'm too old but Conan doesn't seem funny to me. If I had Jay's money I'd retire and end this controversy. He could still do stand-up in Las Vegas a couple of nights a month and make all the money he wants. FWIW, Steve Allen was the best of all time. My older brother and I would sneak downstairs when everyone was asleep and would end getting caught because we laughed too loud. | ||

I have been meaning to PM you Squids about my thoughts. I love Leno, but I haven't been able to watch him at 10, due to it being too early for me. He was perfect at 11:35. Conan is great, but NBC is holding him back because he can't get away with as much at 11:35. Fallon is a disaster, he sucks more than he did on SNL. What NBC should do is go back to how it was before with Leno at 11:35, Conan at 12:35, and get rid of Fallon and that dude after him and just replace them with Shamwow advertisements. | ||

I like Conan at his old time slot better. Never been a fan of Fallon other than he had a local musician on there( Cory Chisel and The Wandering Sons). I have always prefered Letterman and Fergusen over the NBC fair. Haven't watched Kimmel more than once mostly because I forget he has a show. NBC sure has got themselves into a mess with that situation. Pretty sure Conan is gone and he was their "future". | ||

Wow- am I the only one who digs Fallon's wackiness? Heck, getting the Roots as the house band was a stroke of brilliance, IMHO. I wanna go to NY for a show just to hear them play. For whatever reason, I've never really watched much Craig Ferguson. I did catch him when he talked about his mom passing- real honest and raw, hit home with me pretty hard as my mom passed a little over a year ago. Youn's oughta give Fallon a 2nd or 3rd look. He cracks me up regularly, plus he's got his old SNL boss backing him. Don't count him out... LICK IT FOR $10!!! Truthfully, I miss the old Conan, back when a later time slot allowed him to do a LOT more edgy stuff. Leno should retire from late nite, mebbe get into a show/series about his life as a gearhead. That's the only thing I really like about Leno nowadays.   | ||

Bring back Tom Snider. That man could put a flying trapeze artist to sleep mid swing. That is what I like to see at 12:30. I hate the format all of the late night guys follow that they have to be so friggen loud. Since Leno has been on the Tonite show, I don't think I have ever heard one of his punch lines. His style starts the joke or story loudly and tapers off to a near whisper at the punch line. Then the band blares some loud screaming noise. This never has worked while lying in bed with my wife sound asleep, until I turn the volume up just enough to hear him, then the band blares, the wife yells, and no peace is had anywhere.  | ||
