I stopped in at my buddy's composite fabrication plant this am for some breakfast and coffee, they had a local radio show broadcasting from there. So he and his dad, the owner, gave me a tour of the plant. They showed me their CNC machines, mold injecting machines, laser part makers and cutter...pretty impressive. But then they showed me an archive room where they keep a lot of their old prototypes and parts. I saw some tractor parts, boat parts, but then I saw something really interesting....Buell parts!! There was tuber bodywork and some XB prototype parts. I said..."I had no idea you guys did Buell prototypes." The owner said, "I've known Erik for years, we actually made some of his body work prior to HD buying them, Erik and I discussed a partnership back in the late 80's, but I didn't think it was a wise investment and it was a lot of money for me at the time." I must have saw about 30 parts and pieces for both Buell and HD. They still do HD parts that are too big to be done in their design dept. |

Erik seems to spread the prototype work around. I've run into three people who have done prototype work for Buell. |

Bob and Brian aren't nearly as hot as the chick they had with them. Wow. |
