I also heard of a new and improved 955 motor being tested rather than the 1050? Apparently Triumph has been testing these bikes in Spain? |

Well you wouldn't test them in England would you. |

That bike makes me feel funny in my happy place. Given the absence of a new Buell, that might be on the short list. |

I Don't know Grumpy, the report read Spain? Maybe some Spaniards are assisting in the development, who knows? Or maybe it is all just a hoax anyway? |

more excited about the unsubstantiated 675 Tiger rumors. |

I have sources at Triumph who say it isn't happening. More action on the 675 front will be next. But they are also still denying the existence of the Rocket III. |

Wouldn't you? The Rocket III is fugly! Makes the Honda Rube look good. |

F_B, Do you mean the Rune?
I love the looks of that thing. Moves out pretty good too. (Message edited by ulynut on January 13, 2010) |

Since the first time I saw one- I have always referred to it as a Honda Ruined. What a disaster. |

No Oil painting, but I don't mind the Rocket III. The new roadster has presence. How they go mitigates and appearance foibles anyway. Rune I quite like. Like the Rocket it's just my size. |

I like the Rune... As a motor cycle model for ages 6-9, some assembly required, paint, glue not included, photos only for representation; your results may vary kinda thing. Not as anything I would ever ride. |

Rocket IIIs ride pretty good. Took a demo of some of the different Triumphs at the Triumph dealer in Omaha. I'd take it over a Honda any day. Lovely power and torque, but for a 130lb guy, wasn't best suited for my weight. I loved the 655, but being 6'1 I felt like I was on a pocket rocket. A 955 was about the same. Definitely some awesome bikes. |

A few samiches? I eat like a starved horse as it is, I don't mind being weightless though, handling on motorcycles is great. Especially on a light bike like a 675, now something big like a GSX1300R is ridiculous. I feel like a 10oz NY Strip on them, all that bike and so little me. I'm fine on my scg except for being cramped. |

Those pictures have been around longer than the 1125r has been publicly viewable. Long story short. There was talks of a bike to compete in the 'hypersport' category. The 675 did become the focus, and still is. The "new" daytona, if they haven't thrown the project away all together, is going to be something all together different. I'm hoping they will remember their old D1200 and make a 955 with a 4th cylinder, or at least come up with a 990 triple with some tech. Throw in some nice accessories like single rider subframes, bodywork, etc. to shave riding weight down..... and boom. PUT ME IN LINE FOR THAT RIDE Aprilia's Cube with the inline 3 made well over 220bhp..... a street 990 with 170hp is VERY feasible..... I love my 2002 Daytona 955i. It still screams! But I want a new triple damnit!~ |

A 1050 Daytona would be nice, although the 675 is no slouch. I don't know what I'd do with more power than my 675 puts out, although I sure wouldn't mind trying it out... |

They went down the path of a 200mph bike in the 90's but nixed it on 'moral' grounds. |

Why I'd never think of posting under the influence! Btw, Foster is ick, thumbs down all around. I'll stick with Guiness Extra Stout, they've been doing it for 200 years, they're doing something right. |

It is rumored the 955i will go over 186 on a LONG road. I've indicated an interesting number, but without GPS to help me out, plus the fact that I have replaced speed sensors since then, I will never know what the bike will do. It did indicate quite an impressive figure, many MANY moons ago. Boy am I lucky to be alive. |

Fosters is bilge water left after the good beer is distilled from the keg. Suitable only for export markets. |
