I've been such a crusader for suspension, brakes, tires for so long that I thought I'd post a couple excellent links I wanted to start with a single link to Dave Moss' (Catalyst Reaction) EXCELLENT series of articles on suspension setup and tuning. TAKE NOTES: http://www.feelthetrack.com/tuning_guide.htm You can also get many of his videos on On The Track TV in which you can see some of the thinking that goes on in getting a bike properly setup. You can link to some of his videos through his home page: http://www.feelthetrack.com/ As so many have said, predictable turning, Braking, trail braking, accerating while turning - all will make for a MUCH "quicker" ride than HP EVER will... and a properly adjusted suspension will NOT mess with engine reliability. Study this stuff and you'll soon see why the most valuable tool you can carry with you is your notebook. Good stuff! (figured it was worth posting on the OUTSIDE of the Racing section since it seems that so many people are mistakenly focused on power as THE thing - when it should be secondary) I've seen various folks referring to Dave Moss and Catalyst suspension - but nobody posted the links to Moss' technical papers. |

I really enjoy the Two Clicks Out series. He is pretty amazing, and I wouldn't hesitate to have him look at my bike if he was at the track with me. |
