I kind-of made four resolutions... 1) Try to get to bed earlier and get more sleep... 2) ...so I can get up earlier and get to work on time. 3) Get back into push bike riding or something so I can get a little more healthy again, which will help with... 4) Be a good singer instead of just an average one. Start singing lessons before March 2010. Well... it's 1am and I'm still posting on BadWeb... I was at work on time on Monday, don't ask about the rest of the week... Push bike is in the back yard somewhere... I'll ring singing teacher next week So who else made new years resolutions? How's the success rate so far? |

i try not to make promises even to myself that i don't know whether or not i can keep or not graham. i just take life one day at a time cause i have no idea what life will throw me. and although it's not a resolution, i just want to finish up the house and move to tennessee one day. the sooner the better. |

Gonna do all I can to get ahead instead of just getting by. Got a great greenway system close by- hope to get out on it and exercise more AFTER this damn cold weather is gone. Gonna sell the old BMW R65, find a good D/P Suzuki or Yamaha 400/450 to take offroad. Gonna ride motorcycles as much as possible!! |

Quit smoking. Been killing a pack a day for 28 years. Started Chantix Christmas eve, stopped smoking New Year's eve. 9 days in now. Quitting smoking sucks the mop, but this time, I'm gonna make it. |

Each year at this time I have already started keeping my yearly resolution to stay healthy. As an older rider on an 1125R I know I need to stay very healthy, active, flexibly strong and mentally sharp to continue to ride my bike like I want to. Eating properly, staying active and exercising regularly I found to work well for me so I will continue with my resolve. Bob |

i have two - quit smoking and quit cursing like a sailor. not smoking - sucks. luckily, I'm broke so buying smokes is not a huge temptation. not cursing - i work with ignorant jackasses on a daily basis, so that one's gonna take a while. |

Quit smoking. I actually put them down in October. So far so good. The workplace banned smoking on the grounds, but offered free patches and coaching. This time it's going to stick. Next, I would like to learn to play the guitar that has been sitting in the corner for the last year. |

stopped smoking New Year's eve. 9 days in now. Well done, hang in there, they say it gets worse before it gets better. You have 28 years of gunk to get rid of! Your lungs will want to make sure they start fresh. Part of my resolution was not to quit but to cut down smoking. The others were to: Lose weight (more to get healthier and fitter) Spend more time doing the things that I am inspired to do and less time online! Work hard to make my new business successful. |

Wake up every morning....avoid the inevitable dirt nap for another year.. You guys that are using the quit smoking drugs like Chantix....be sure to tell all your family and friends so if you start getting depressed or psychotic they can warn you and get you some help....a friend recently committed suicide that was taking it...not saying it was the drug, but it is possible...good luck. I've had a couple... a) Start exercising more - no goals to loose a certain amount of weight, but I could do with less of a beer gut. b) Not wasting my time with people who aren't worth it. c) Take a more active role in my happiness. I'm not going to settle for bad relationships (just ended one that was going nowhere), I'm going to work making my job more enjoyable, and I'm going to spend more time doing the things I enjoy with the people I enjoy. |

Hey you quitters ... Switching from coffee to TEA helped me quit. Try to change all the things you associated with smoking. Like...If you must drink... switch to a different type. Think of everything habitual you did while smoking and switch it to something else or stop it all together. That will help because you won't be just missing the smoking. If you fail, don't worry about it. Sometimes it takes 10 tries or more for some people to quit. Don't let the non smoking idiots get you down either. My grandmom still smokes @95. My gf's nieces used to visit for weekends and their mom would immediately wash their clothes when they got home because of the stink. I used think they were nuts until I recently visited my brothers (after 2 years the smoke really doesn't bother me) but I was there for 3-4 hours...in a smoke filled room. When I got home...my clothes freaking STUNK bad. THAT smell ...like old used butts in the ash tray. ugh. It will be 2 years this month (as a nonsmoker) My Uly was my quitting smoking present to myself so she is 2 now too. (even though she was a 2006 leftover) and I am back to coffee now. |
