Howe and Howe are two really cool "good ole boys" who started building out of the box stuff in their garage. If you've never seen RIP SAW...check it out on you tube. |

I was going to watch it but the first episode started with "they're going to take this bone-stock 1926 Ford Model-T and transform it into..." click Sorry but I don't get enjoy seeing a piece of automotive history hacked up to make a hotrod. I could understand if it was a dilapidated husk or even a non-original runner. But from the opening credits it looked liked a pristine original. Don't get me wrong I love hot rods and custom cars but when people take rare mint-condition cars and hack them up it just pisses me off. They made a ton of Model T's but they're aren't many left, especial ones in original condition. (Message edited by not_purple_s2 on January 06, 2010) |

I watched one episode and it was terrible. The show was so phoney it hurt to watch. They made a pot-hole filler that failed miserably. Looks like they should of put some of that chopper money in the bank so then they wouldnt of had to sell out by doing this rubbish. |

Don't get pissed till you know the facts... |

This is MG right down to Thom Beers and the guys all walking in together like they're tough guys. All they need now is that annoying announcer guy. |

My fav is the announcer saying how it's going to 'help Detroit' yeah help line the Detroit Bros pockets and hand out a few tool sets. The only thing this show does is show how poorly the city is run, how the people in the city really take care of the neighborhood buy burning it down and destroying it... |

Spidey, Where'd you find those numbers? I'm not doubting you but the only place I ever see original Model-T's are in museums or occasionally 1-2 at car shows. Most of the ones I've seen have been heavily chopped and modified. I was once told that even decent original steel bodies were hard to find since most were either left to rot or used for hot-rod fodder during the 50's and 60's. But I never got into hodrods much, I prefer 60's muscle cars. |

I read an article about it not too long ago, there are about 28k still registered to run on the road. I know of 10 houses I could ride over to that own functioning model Ts but then again I am in the Detroit area LOL Model T in Detroit is like Okra in Arkansas |

Oh... Steel doesn't last that long down here in the Rust Belt. I wonder what the percentage of those 28K are highly modified. |

Almost forgot, if you go to the Greenfield Village you can take a ride in one of 30+ still running T's http://www.thehenryford.org/village/transportation .aspx |

Spidey, I'll send you a case of Okra if you send me a running and drivable Model-T. In about another six months, with this economy, that should almost be a workable swap. The majority of the other contractors here are from the Detroit region. |

LOL, I would rather give away a model T than be forced to eat Okra... |

Okay then, send me a Model-T and I'll post a pic of me eating some picked okra. Bomber won't part with his T. (Speaking of which, I wonder how he's doing. ) |

Bomber won't part with his wife's A. He's a selfish bastage, but he'll live a little while longer. Sadky, though, not on Thing's porch -- right here in teh snow with the rest of us ;-} (Message edited by bomber on January 08, 2010) |

Ah yes, Model-A not a -T. If it was a -T I might have had a chance. (Probably not to be honest though, have to go back to trying to swap a Schwinn for tin) Hope the Trumpeters are treating you well. Are you planning to run the M2 naked or faired? Before Christmas I peeked in the window of the former Course shop and they still had a couple of Duc's in there with a call if interested paper hanging from them. I still don't think they'd entertain any offer I'd make, but I'm tempted to try just for the amusement factor. Take care, gotta run. |

The Tiger is a great scoot -- exactly what I wanted. Course's closing was sad -- if you offered what they had in it . . . . . . . . . The MaDeuce will run nekkid -- just looking to run, not break any records -- that would be an effort that required more time and filthy lucre than I have to give You, too, Mike! |

John, my M2 is also in parts.... I trashed the crank, long story.. I have most of the parts, still need gaskets, a set of 536 cams and a few odds and ends. I decided to turn the M2 into my Red Headed Mistress.. XB top end, cams, etc... That damn gumption thing would also be helpful! Brad |

LOL -- the MaDeuce will hav e1250 juggs, XB heads, and some cams from Andrews that appeat to have round lobes -- everything open alla time . . . . a buddy once observed that I had spent my motorcycling life turning sweet, good handling scoots into handgrenades that were good for 30 minute rides . . . . . . so far, the Tiger has not sucummed to my tender ministrations. Lucky for us, winter is long, eh? |
