I just came across this. http://trydna.com/BRAKESTER.html I know there would have to be some custom fabricated mounts for the caliper, and you'd might have to machine the sides of the pulley, or put the one it comes with on except get it powder coated so it's not ugly chrome. Sorry, I just don't think chrome looks good on a Buell, an XB anyways, I know people put chrome shit on tubers. It might add a few pounds but at least you wouldn't have to stand on the back brake pedal, I do anyways, since I'm only 130lbs. |

neat idea. i've seen it on a HD. looks pretty trick. ... on that HD. i think it'd be more trouble than its worth to add that particular piece of farkle to a buell. dunno how much more effective it will be, compared to an upgraded rear caliper (ie brembo, or the like) i've heard from some people that they never use the rear brake, since it doesn't work anyways. ... ... ME? i often find my self unintentionally locking up the rear. werks guud enuff fer me! |

If I was to do something with the rear brake, I would relocate it to the front belt sprocket to reduce unsprung weight. I have seen it done on an XB, it looks great. The rear works fine for me too on both my 1125's, it just took a few miles to break it in. I can't squeeze hard on the front due to a wrist injury, so I end up doing 70% of my braking on the rear till I get all healed. |

New pads and a good bleed and the rear on my XB9R was worlds better than stock. |
