Joshinga, i picked it up at Bumpus when i got my bike. PM either Tnxbrider of Ft_Bstrd Bartimus, this challenge is still on, unless you will accept the fact i rode my 1125r from my TV to my laptop..  | ||

What, you mean that wasn't a giant Microsoft billboard?   Got to give you points for originality! Yeah it is still on. I was hoping that it was easy enough that someone in the Southern Hemisphere had a chance to get it. I rode yesterday for a bit with Black51 on his new to him Uly XT. It was a nice day for a couple of hours. Then it got cold and started raining. | ||

I will be going out in a bit in the snow, I will keep an eye out for a good billboard, but everyone around here is a bunch of conservative pu$$ys, so I doubt I will find anything good. | ||

Those Sync's are supposed to be good in less than great road conditions, not sure I'm ready to try in the snow though. View from my living room:  I thing this photo could complete two previous challenges, considering I had to ride the bike home at some point... my bike in front of a dumpster... three bicycles in front of my bike (two are on trainers, pink kids bike in front of them):  | ||

Tell you what.....if you have snow in the picture of your Buell in front of a billboard it doesn't even have to be a special absurd one. But, where the hell are the folks from the South? Have they all gone lame reading about snow in the North? Gotta be somebody riding to a picnic on a beach somewhere who is going to pass a billboard. | ||

Been wanting to use this thread as another excuse to go for a ride, but I always forget a camera and haven't posted... Eatoncorners.... saw your post a few days ago, and since I can't find any billboards worth stopping for a picture for, I got this one for your idea of an ongoing mission...excuse the pun. This is the Mission Santa Clara de Asís. The current church building was re-built in 1928, but the mission itself has been in many stages since 1777, and was the first mission. It also became the first college in California. Take a look at more Mission History. Being an alum of SCU, I didn't know any of this history until now...haha.  Etennuly - not exactly from the south, but mid-50 deg. weather here in San Jose isn't bad for riding... | ||

I think I know where I can find one, if it makes it up to the forcast 34 F tomorrow maybe I can go for a ride, and I've already charged up my camera's batteries. Not sure if there's a safe place off the interstate I can get the shot though, hmmmm... | ||

because of this thread i carry my camera on my bike, and since it is my only transportation, it goes everywhere with me. I just haven't seen any billboards worthy of the picture, apparently south florida is lame in the billboard department. I will put a valliant effort in tomorrow though! | ||

This billboard mission might be tough for fellow Marylanders. Because we don't have any billboards! Well, very few. And they are usually very un-obstructing and not at all distracting. The whole state is that way. No golden arches 300' high, no giant Walmart signs. Heck, in Columbia you can't find anything because its all hidden behind berms, the buildings all look like a library, and there are no signs. Don't believe me? Google street view around there. Oh, and we have single digit wind chills right now. | ||

I forgot to press "1" so the billboard is in spanish...  If this is acceptable, I would like to see your bike in front of sports complex like a high school football field, soccer field, or a spring training field, or even a pro sports arena. I am assuming that every town has a high school, or at least a park with soccer or baseball fields... | ||
