I've had enough of spinnin my wheels in the Magnum and not gettin any where. Found this little gem on craigslist for $1200. It's a 94 Nissan 4X4. It's got a salvage (rebuilt) title and some rust. On the plus side the guy showed me the receipts for the rebuilt tranny, new clutch, new rotors and pads up front and shoes in the back. Tune up parts have all been done as well as tires that have at least 80% of their tread left. It should serve my needs, 20 mile round trip on un-plowed back roads.

Nice find! I used to have a '90 SE-V6 Hardbody 4x4 K/Cab ... great little truck, wish I still had it. |

I actually had to haul ass to get to it before someone else got to it. The guys phone was ringing all morning and while I was there and on the test ride. Someone was standing in the parking lot when we got back, so I told him I'd take it and showed him the cash before we got out of the truck in case that guy wanted to offer more money. The weather has been so crappy around here 4x4 beaters are flying off craigslist and the paper in a day. |

It sucks in the winter. I got stuck twice in my work parking lot last year and bottomed out on the road goin home one morning on the road. Took me 20 minutes to get moving. I screwed up when I bought it. The dealer had an awd one also, same price but had 40k miles vs the 20k mine had. PS, the Nissan also has a new exhaust from the manifold back including the cat and muffler. |

Those are great trucks if you can get them before they rust away on you. See tons of them around here with a homemade flatbed on them. |

The snow here's taken it's toll on my G6. Got the son of a bitch high centered and ripped the pipe off. Now it literally sounds like a 350 small block. Then, someone comes ripping around my corner and slips and slides right into my G6 putting a huge hole in the bumper and then drives off. Next year, I'm going south with my grandparents, f*ck this snowy below zero tepmerature, shit*y road crews bullshit. Maybe I should just get an enduro... |

I'm driving my winter vehicle, my 1991 Ford Explorer 2door. Been in my family since new, and was mine at 16, amazing that it still runs! |

The bed is the worst part for sure. I know a few people that work for a national salvage company that I'm sure could get me a solid bed if I decide to do it. I really just need this thing to last thru the next 2 winters, then I plan on trading in the magnum for a suv. |

They are great trucks. My '94 has 240,650 miles on the clock, still running like a champ! Most of those miles were in New England, so the truck has it's share of rust on it, but it's happy now that it's down in the desert. |

So your magnum is not a station wagon, it's a truck? |

My Suzuki SX4 crossover is being put to the test this winter, and it is kicking a$$! I'm running on the factory tires, and it handles even better when you shut off the ESP. IMHO, it's a great car fully loaded for under 19K$ |

Magnums are cool. Need parts? Ours ('05 R/T hemi) got T-boned in March. I'm putting the Hemi/autostick in a 72 Satellite I own, but the rest is for sale. Nav stereo (REC code) with Sirius, UConnect, and dash bezel...heated leather seats...dual zone climate control...you name it, if it isn't frame or right side doors I got it |

I'm shopping for a magnum, but then again I'm in southern nevada so I don't have to worry about snow! Just need a good grocery getter for about town that will house 5 dogs for vet and groomer runs. |

I really like my magnum, but my odd hours commute on roads before they are treated are exhausting after driving a semi on snowy roads for 554 miles all nite. If I woulda been smart enough to get the awd version it would probably be fine except in the deepest snow. That being said, a larger suv, such as a jeep commander or something will be next in about 2 years or so. |
