A pair of new Pilot Roads to my door for $251.98........... There may be better tires and there may be cheaper tires/deals,but the PR's do fine for me. |

Tires optimum performance life span is 2 years from date of mfg. I'm gonna need tires this spring, I'm a little nervous about getting old stock if I go mail order. |

Fortunately,I don't push my tires to optimum performance. With 7 bikes,I can't justify replacing them all every two years either. If I got in trouble,I doubt fresher tires would save me. Staying out of trouble has worked well so far......... |

Here's a good deal on Pilot Powers, their price on "Roads" is more than you paid but is still a good price. http://stores.sportbiketrackgear.com/Detail.bok?no =678 In this day and age of litigation, I don't think too many reputable companies can afford to sell tires they know are sub standard. That is the way old stock is cleared out. But the down side cold be as minimal as mileage loss during scuff-in depending on how old they are. |
