Iman and Milt, look at taking hwy 39 to 43 East to East Troy. Milt, just take hwy 12 to 120 North to East Troy. sure beats having to go through Chicago and Milwaukee. I live in Antioch. I take hwy 173 West to hwy 12, North to Hwy 120 in Lake Geneva which runs right by Alpine Valley on the way to East Troy. | ||

I'll more than likely be riding the XT from OKC. Might try to fit it and the X1 in the back of the S-15 though. Will probably be a two day trip with a stop near Columbia, MO (family is there) I met up with Corey, Erick, and others last year on the way. Would love to do the same thing this year. | ||

I can give a firm MAYBE on riding from SLC, UT. Depends on how things work out on bringing my wife and daughter, they'd both like to come. I will load the bike in the truck if they both can make it, then ride the good parts. I'll have room for a second bike in the truck, and will prolly bring extra tie-downs so I can hook up with others and provide vehicle support for the long drive too. -Mike | ||

If I can go it will be 400 mile days for me from Baltimore to Homecomming and the target date will be the Banquet date then leave for home, total of 5 days for me. So it will be a quick trip on the Highway. K | ||

if i go, it will be by car and the bike would be on a trailer. i don't have the leave to ride from B-more to homecoming. It is 14 hrs (according to yahoo maps) and by car i could drive that in 1 day with only 2 gas stops. 3 if the MPG on a Subaru is under 27 mpg. | ||

We're going to be headed from Baltimore-ish. I suspect that even if Kim has lots of practice between now and then, she won't want to slab it out there on her M2L....but *I* would love to do it on the bike. We shall see. Worst case, for those who are riding from this area, we'll be happy to schlep gear in the truck for you, to help lighten your load. | ||

Dana - let me know and I can set up a folder for the "ride there" planning and we can add folders for South West, South East, etc. and from there new threads can be started covering a more concise area. | ||

I agree - a "ride to" section would be great. Threads for Northeast, Mid Atlantic, Southeast, south, southwest, west coast, northwest, and "other" (for our Canuck friends  ) would be very cool, that way we can all try to find each other and maybe have some larger groups, etc. | ||

I'm still on the fence on weather to ride the whole way or not, really depends on how many people I can hook up with to ride out. I posted up on Buelletinboard also, anyone coming through Iowa that need a place to crash/meet up is welcome at my place. I'm in the Quad Cities. |
