For Chili's birthday today, we thought we'd have a pretty relaxed kind of day, so we took some time to soak up Christmas. We drove into the city and took some pics of the displays and life in general to share.
The tree and all these reindeer (including Santa are covered in hundreds of tiny lights. They are powered by solar panels on the tree and it's star on top!
This church is still standing in the middle of all the glass and concrete.
...and of course we couldn't resist a few bike shots...
Just a little taste of Central Brisbane in the festive season. I'm sure Lemonchili will post some more that he took as well. We picked up the new fairing for the 1125r on the way home...but that's another story Happy Holidays everyone V-XX |

NICE pics - as we're into our winter here... though Californians are accused of FORGETTING what Winter actually IS! (and rightly so) Happy Holidays to you both too from Sunny and me! We MUST make it to OZ again soon - and spend a few months travelling (not a few days as we had on the Gold Coast - Cairns as simple tourists) When you get a name of a snow-ski fanatic there in Australia who would consider rotating homes with us so we can have our "endless Summer" - we're ready to retire NOW (Message edited by slaughter on December 22, 2009) |

Well Slaughter....now that you mention it... We may know of someone who would be interested. Not permanently, but I'm sure they'd appreciate a holiday for a few months out of Sydney, and you guys always have a place to stay up Brisbane way. Hhhmmm will consult with the magic eight ball |

Well he is a Bueller too, so we might have to mention the idea and see what comes of it. He's a ski freak and adrenalin junkie. Travels all over to ski and sight see. Leave it with us |

Cool pics! The one with the wavy fascia is kind of Matrix (the movie) like! Merry Christmas! |

It was a beautiful day. It's getting to be very typical 'Christmas' weather here now. Hot days with late afternoon storms built up from the heat. and if you haven't gathered from chili's fb page. it could very well be an interesting care package for you... Yes Tim, we did notice. I am choosing to ignore until said package is opened if memory serves me correct the matrix was filmed in Australia That is an accurate statement..hehe, but it was filmed down in Sydney. This building is the latest addition to the high-rise offices in the City mall. |
