If you don't want to support this maniac, you must realize that Citgo is Petróleos de Venezuela- an oil company wholly owned by Chavez's nationalist-socialist government. Citgo is the producer of H-D branded oils, so when you buy your SYN-3 at the dealer you are putting money directly into Hugo Chavez's pocket. It's your choice... |

Redbuell, it's not as simplistic as that. Yes, Citgo is as you say, but your local Citgo gas station is owned and operated by US nationals and legal immigrants, with fuel coming from the same regional distribution points as all the other big oil companies. Buying HD oil or Citgo gas is not "putting money directly into Chavez's pocket." If you want to understand the details, look deeper than the name on the label. |

Ok, help me out here... is it not the case that proceeds from purchasing Citgo products eventually make their way to Petróleos de Venezuela- an oil company nationalized by Chavez's nationalist-socialist government? When there are umpteen oil companies we as Americans can choose to do business with, I don't see why anyone would choose to support the one with ties to an anti-american, anti-democratic, dangerous megalomaniac. But this is America, and we are free to make our own decisions- I just wanted to make sure people were informed about the ramifications of supporting Citgo- they sure as hell won't get my money. |

I don't care what the details are. Citgo is owned by Venezuela, and I refuse to buy anything from any of their stations. |

I don't shop at Citgo. Period. I told the local Citgo store owner this. He is now a BP station. I buy my gas from him now. Simple as that. The store owners chooses with which oil company they will affiliate. |

Let them cheer. Third world countries will decide nothing in Copenhagen. Maybe so but it won't be from a lack of trying by the idiots running our country. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/world/2009/12/17/2 009-12-17_us_will_contribute_to_100b_climate_fund_ for_developing_countries_hillary_clinton.html |
