Somehow I just have trouble buying that 340 top speed claim. The potential is there for 250 give the aero and turbo engine but I wouldn't bet on it. Now on paper it might pull 340, but the BS stops when the green flag drops. | ||

Does this range of 354-750Hp sound a little big? Same with the 1000-2000Hp per Tonne. | ||

Iman501, the worlds fastest motorcycle has "training wheels" (although they are technically ski's). All enclosed motorcycles need something like that so they don't fall over when stopped.  | ||

Turboed busas are at and over the 750 HP mark-BUT-- and a big one,only a select few streamliners are in that speed range.IIRC it is a whopping 3. Fastest sitdown bike is about 270(Joe Amo) So where has this vehicle done 340?? | ||

I found another link. It seems this concept has been around a while. "The Acabion is hand built. In fact, as of June 2008, only one GTBO exists. It's estimated that the designer has spent $30 million to develop this concept. Because of this, Dr. Maskus keeps the vehicle closely guarded, and to date, no independent tests of the Acabion GTBO have been performed by any outside source. The broad 354 to 750hp range is based on the performance level of the build. I read up on this when I was in the service, either in 04 or 05. I'm looking around at their updated site. Looks like their money expenditures have been in the wrong areas. | ||

Also, the motorcycle landspeed record is set on salt. Try propelling anything on salt. It's a fine art. Put one of those streamliners on pavement, ???? who knows what feats it will accomplish. |
