So I started a facebook page to watch my 8 yr old grow up in pictures. I have 1 picture, no friends and probably plan to keep it that way. I have as little info about myself as possible in my profile. I've had ex's in the past try to start shit with my wife while on MySpace. Anyways...facebook offers suggestions of people to ask to become your friends. Frank is on there with a shot from Killboy as well as another guy on a red Firebolt. What are the odds?  | ||

A lot greater than you think, it is called targeted advertising. Either something in your profile, or possibly a page you looked at sees that you have interest in Badweb/Buell's, and being the internet celebrity I am, it wanted you to become a fan of mine That red Firebolt is probably Barker. | ||

Jose Quintana is the name of the guy with the red 9r. I just thought it was pretty funny seeing you as a suggestion. BadWeb is the only place where I "social surf". We all have a common love for Buell. When I was on MySpace I had people I never talked to in school and people who told me I'd amount to nothing wanting me to add them as friends. I didn't talk to you then. Why would I now. It just seemed so fake. I MySpaced to keep track of a buddy in Iraq and I'm Facebooking to watch my kid grow up. Other than that...dunno. | ||

MySpace is a horrid disease of tweens and drama... Facebook is showing the early signs of the same disease but I am crossing my fingers it doesn't get any worse. I used to use myspace, and still have one, but I only update Facebook. It's just easier to work with from my iPhone and less polluted. | ||

I have stayed away from the "general audience" stuff like Myspace, FB, etc. Some friends of mine are on there and I just don't get it. I believe those (para)sites will make me less intelligent. Corey, application invites can be blocked easily and never heard from again. I for one spam Mafia Wars posts daily, because posting every time I win a war, gain a level, find an item, etc; gives me bonuses in the game. I just figure that if anyone doesn't like the spam, they can block it. If they do play MW though, then they get bonuses just by clicking on my spammed updates - win win. Yeah I'm a nerd, but you gotta find something during the winter months right? | ||
