Top box yellow dot "Radical Libertarian"... no surprise, but total fail in figuring out how to post the chart. What's the trick to making it work? |

I couldn't figure it out either. I just took a damn screen shot and then saved it and cropped it and uploaded it. I'm quite sure there must be an easier way. But it would have taken me longer to figure out the shorter way, so... |

You recognize the inefficiency of having the government run the economy. You also seem to think that the government can do some good in improving people's personal habits in some areas. You fit in the Reagan-Goldwater wing of the Republican party. So, you probably approve of half or so of the Republicans in office, while at other times you might prefer the Constitution Party candidate, or even the Libertarian candidate. |

It's not rigged - I took it again and answered all the questions exactly opposite to how I feel, and I ended up right smack on the bottom. Called me a fascist! :P The quiz seems to be a few years old though - probably before the whole public option question on health care existed. Don't know about the other things though. |

Call me crazy, but methinks the quiz's authors might have had some libertarian bias. By these results, Blake and I should agree on just about everything, being only one small square apart. If memory serves, that is not often the case.

Here is my chart.
quote:Your views call for roughly same amount of goverment and liberty that we have today, with a bit more personal liberty and more government involvement in the economy. It appears that you are relatively happy with the status quo, though you probably want a few more Democrats in office. Approximately 9% of the takers of this quiz scored in this area, 36% for all within the centrist circle.
It's pretty accurate. Some of the questions were kind of loaded and I would have preferred a "None of the above" on some but I answered as best I could. |

Ah, I should have scrolled to the bottom the page before posting. Yes, I'd say I was right about the quiz bias, but it's "big L" rather than "little L" libertarianism. |

Blake, PLEASE stop posting this stuff.. This is a MOTORCYCLE FORUM!!!!!!! Try to put our past differences behind you. What "past differences" are you talking about? You only have 64 posts on BadWeb. I've been posting on BadWeb for years and Blake and I have a ton of past differences between us. If Blake wants to post this stuff I say, post away! It's no big deal. I think it's interesting to see where other people stand. |

No questions on health care, abortion, religion or feminism. Nothing on the environment. Call me crazy, but methinks the quiz's authors might have had some libertarian bias. Those topics didn't matter to the quiz author. Goes to show you how statistics and polls can be bent and twisted. |

No questions on health care, abortion, religion or feminism. Nothing on the environment. Call me crazy, but methinks the quiz's authors might have had some libertarian bias. I think the biggest issue is that these issues aren't specifically unique to a particular political leaning. You can be VERY conservative and be "pro-environment". You can be very liberal and be pro-life. You can be very libertarian and believe a woman's place is in the kitchen. The questions were about HOW the government functions and the role plays in our lives. Libertarianism and Authoritarianism are polar opposites with regard to the roll the government plays, dominant or marginal. Liberal and Conservative are polar opposites in the manner in which those political leanings expect the government to aid and promote particular social agendas (healthcare, social security, sex, drugs, etc.). Both expect the government to "promote" a particular social agenda and the social agendas are opposing generally. I think the questionnaire works pretty well. If you fudge the answers, you can force a libertarian or authoritarian bias by choosing either the 100% government or 100% no government answers. If you fudge the answers in the middle, you can get a more liberal or conservative bias. The peripheral issues are simply not consistent enough to aid the analysis. In most polls, they are low ranking concerns anyway. |

I believe it's time to forgive and forget and move on. That's cool. Why not take the quiz and post your results? Are you afraid that your results might disagree with Blake's? I know that your results will disagree with mine. Everybody has posted a different result to the quiz. There is nothing to forgive or forget about that. Everybody is just different. |

A little surprised with my results, I was expecting to be on the Radical Libertarian List. Not to far from what I expected though, I did just fall into the Right Leaning Freedom Lover Group. |
