HD could have sold BMC within a week, and probably for twice the amount they are going to get for MV... |

You don't think not selling Buell is just a ploy to make sure MV gets sold. Then after MV's gone they sell Buell. One of you guys has a bridge in Brooklyn for sale too? |

My gut tells me (perhaps wrongly) that there is some serious work in that body, and that it has impact on the cooling system as well as being slippery in the air. I want that body work! in Primer with brackets, glass or plastic... Sob..sniff.. I soo hope that that machine did not get "shredded" but disappeared and will some day soon be in Erik's Hands If not I may take up fiber glass work and try for my self.. |

I'm more interested in what's underneath... 1190 engine? Different heads and injection? That tail looks light and maybe the radiators moved back so more concentrated mass? Radiator air flow same direction as 1125RR? Lighter wheels? ZTL3? (Hopefully it sounds better than my 1125R sewing machine too ) |

I can say there was considerable cost in the tooling of stuff you CAN'T see in those pictures. Enough to keep my 'lil shop busy for 6+ months. Remind me to tell you sometime.... |

That front wheel design appears to be nothing short of spectacular.

That front wheel design appears to be nothing short of spectacular. You got that right. Who holds the patent on that? |

(crosses fingers in hope) Erik, because it is a new design not patent held by hd... |

Sorry folks....I'm sure anything Erik developed while he was at HD is property of HD. |

I just went back and read Elvis' post. That makes a lot of sense. Thank you Elvis. Between you and Court, and a lot of other folks here, I'm getting quite an education. Thank you guys, and Badweb. |

Similar to a 1098/1198 . I wonder if it was built by Enkei like the other XB/1125 wheels... (Message edited by Phelan on December 11, 2009) |
