Heres what you do, they will never even broach it though. You put every damn convict through 9 weeks of boot camp, and additional 6 months of desert training... and you deploy ever last one of them
Bring the troops home, we go back in twenty years, anybody left can get the rest of their sentence bought down with time served, and back behind bars they go. Theres too much damn whiney snivelling sorry suck lets com ba ya with them and make the feel good. BULLSHIATE.
Semd em over seas, let them do what ever the hell they want. The French did it right with their foreign legion, the model exists.
And think of the tax savings  |

You'd trust half those fools with guns?
Hell we should colonize a large uninhabitable island and dump them all there, and have hidden cameras all around the island so we can watch it on CBS every week. |

Froggy.... kind like the Britts did w/ Australia?
Why not be really ugly about it. Set up two camps and air drop just enough food for only one camp food 1/2 way between the two. A REAL game of survivor.
Edit: I don't mean to belittle what happened. My folks live in Tacoma and according to them its been a real stressful time for the whole community, and a real outpouring of love for LEOs.

I didn't mean to come across as harsh in my request to keep politics away from this thread, nor did I want to point any fingers at anyone. For the record, I have nothing against political threads on the ol' BadWeB. This just isn't one of them.
Now sending prisoners to a deserted island, that's just a good idea  |

A_s_r, no problema as the record speaks for itself.
I would have convicts dig an irrigation canal from the Great Lakes to San Diego so we can get some fresh water and convince criminals that they REALLY don't want to pursue crime. |

they were adapt at getting guns illegally before (not all of them mind you but really alot of them) they can figure out how to get them there too.
And after twenty years, they get to come back to a nice deserted island, say Adak
if they survive.
but it will never happen. Hell they get cable tv, guaranteed room and board, work out time, cant be forced to do labor, and get conjugucal visits. If it werent for guy love and gang yard violence I think everyone would want to do a stint in prison/
and we just might if we start skimping on the required insurance 'premiums' |
