Great minds think alike... Delta, would you agree to keep the Vet's day challenge theme? I'd like to see who can put their bike in front of the biggest piece of military equipment they can find. ie. Carrier, B-52, Abrams, etc. Just don't cross 'the line'. |

I agree entirely but I would like to add bonus points for anything piece from a world war. super bonus points if you get a world war vet in the shot too. |

Agreed! GOD bless our vets. I've thought a lot today about my Grandfather, Uncle, and a lot of close friends who sacrificed a lot more in their short time in war than I have in my 18yrs of service. |

same here my grand father was a capt. in the army during WWII (he was drafted just after he finished med school) and my dad was in the army for the first few years of my life. ironically he didn't re-up because he didn't want to put me through the military lifestyle. when I was 18 I joined the air force, it was the best decision of my life, now at 24 I plan on going back when I get my degree. |

My Grandfather was New Zealand Light-horse and my brother has been associated with armed forces for as long as I can remember. He served with United Nations over in Rwanda some years back. Saw some gruesome things for a 21year old. He was working as a medic when they started bringing in all the charred bodies...still alive. I spared a little more than just the minute for rememberance. |

As Lemonchili and I did this together, I believe we get joint new challenge rights! We were riding home from picking up the new 1125r and stopped into the local rsl for a quick pic...

We have conferred and decided that in light of HD's heinous acts, the next picture will be of your bike in front of a dumpster. The marker must be the shocker somewhere in the pic. Bonus points if you can get something bright yellow in the pic in honour of the recent pic of the 'barracuda' surfacing. |

Some people may have to take their little die-cast 1125's out and do the close-up optical illusion trick to get a pic of a bike in front of something. Super bonus points if you can put a G.I. Joe throwing the shocker on the little bike. |

They had some of the really good looking ones at Bumpus HD. Give the Ft_bstrd a jingle, bet he could hook you up. I have seen enough of this dumpster thing. I guess I will give it an attempt today. The sun came back to us and it is about 58F. I guess I am out of excuses.....'cept I have a fear the Uly will get sucked into the dumpster! |

Aww...crap. I have been flirting with being sick for a week. I never made it out of the office yesterday. Just as I stepped out of the office, got a breath of cool damp air and it was like my sinus' exploded. I may need a dumpster here.....for me! |

Not a recent photo so it doesnt count, but it is just off the entrance to Devils Run (6 miles off 66 Turns, pure Dirt) North Shore Road, Mason County Washington. Carry on, I should finally have the Bueller back this week, so back to the contest |

Crap! I went specifically down one of my favorite near by roads, when I found that after smokin these corners for the last five years, there is no berm to park on and just enough traffic to make it impossible to park in the road for even a minute. My digi cam is new enough I don't have it in me to try to do pics while riding. I suppose I could with a mount. I had to get back to meet with a customer too. |

It is not a 'sucky' challenge. It is slow season for most riders and I just need to figure out where and when I can get'er done! |

aka south mountain: pro - twistie switchbacks everywhere con - armstrong bicyclist everywhere
alrighty then next up, your bike in front of a bunch of armstrong bicyclists' bicycles.. either on the run or at a bike rack or something of the sort, something with two wheeled man powered machinery, preferably 3/more bicycles. ~~bonus, have a single ball hanging around in the picture, like a tennis ball or something ~~ |
