I've owned several Ford products and they have all been very solid cars. I like them even more since they didn't take bailout money. |

Took a close look at one this weekend at a dealership. I like this truck a lot and I am not a Ford truck fan. Big tires and Fox racing shocks from the factory...very cool. Don't think it will fit well in the garage though, as it is wider then the typical F-150....guess I might have to get a bigger garage! |

Comes with a $40,000 price tag also. Almost got one but then we decided on a new bike for me. The wife made a great decision! |

I like them even more since they didn't take bailout money. I have NEVER been a fan of Ford's styling. Given no bailout, I think I will work hard to reward them. |

I've wanted one since I saw the concept last year...SICK Since Ford is only American manufacturer that didn't take bailout, I'm going from being a Chevy guy to a Ford guy now. |

6.2L doesn't become available until next year. Stuck with the 5.8L that gets about 13mpg on the hwy. Sweet looking truck though for a Ford... |

I bought a new Ford kinda by accident last week. got a Focus SEL for about 20% off MSRP. Heated leather seats, sunroof. Kick ass stereo, Sirius, Microsoft Sync and is getting 34.2 mpg. Cost about 1/4 of the car it replaces. Early in the game but it drives great! |

ive been a Ford guy since i was a kid and i can tell you that ford may not have always been the most powerful truck made but they were the best offroad and at work as well. Ive been there and seen what the others do and Ford have always been the best, and since they didnt take a bail out i will always be a ford man. And yes the Raptor is bad ass. |

Where as my HOG stock has given me pause lately, and many here have wished it ill, this thread (and the 250% gain y-t-d) gives me a warm fuzzy for my Ford stock. But then, not having owned GM stock in a long time, that has given me great joy and a balance above zero on my stock portfolio.
Now only if Buell could provide me a similar reward as Chipotle did when spun off from behemoth McDonald's. I've bought far too many two wheeled bikes lately to give room in a garage for a new Ford. Since the wifey & I are either on two-wheels or mass transit, we only put about 6,000 miles total on our two cages anyway, compared to probably 15-20,000 on two wheelers. We are fortunate to live where this is possible. Still, should the day come where I need to cage more, a new Ford will be our first choice for oh so many reasons including those shared by posters here. |

Same here, after figuring out the truck I want is unobtanium, I bought 3 more bikes instead. Oh well. |

Interesting, I thought Cagiva had dibs on the Raptor name. Nice looking tool though. I have a Focus C-Max, mini mpv, diesel of course, very nice it is too. Keep an eye on the rear wheel bearings Court they're not very long lived. It's a total hub unit setup, not cheap, but dead easy to change. |

Nice! I had a Jeep Liberty (Cherokee across the pond) that had a VM Motori 2.8L turbodiesel. It was a great engine. I sold it (for a nice sum I might add) and bought a Grand Cherokee with the Mercedes-Benz 3.0L turbodiesel. Holy cow! What a motor! Has the same tow rating as the 5.7L Hemi motor, and on my last long trip, I racked up 27mpg in a full sized SUV. Not to mention it lays down 443ft/lbs of torque at 1600rpm thanks to the Inmotion chip tune. All from a little bitty 3.0L V6. Ahhhhh....I love me some diesel. |

Motor Trend did a feature on this truck. The driver had the truck pinned going 100 mph on the dirt and said it felt like it was at home out there. (Message edited by boltrider on November 25, 2009) |

The Border Patrol is going to use them according to Auto Week. And this truck is said to come out of the SVT team, that is cool and adds some cred. Doubt you could build a truck like that for the asking price, plus it has a factory warranty. Good on you, Ford. |

The only thing I don't like about it is the grille. Is it REALLY necessary to have a 3' banner across the front? ~SM |

I haven't owned a Ford since the early 70's but I have to say that I like the new look of the product. I like the new Escape, made in Kansas City, Missouri. I only will buy American made cars or motorcycles! Ant vehicle made in a foreign country can stay there as far as I'm concerned! |

My new Focus was made in Wayne, MI. Ford is the last remaining American car maker. |

FWIW, the banner across the front isn't quite as noticeable as it is in the posted pic, but rather the contrast isn't as stark as the entire grille is one monotone color. I became a Ford guy when I was a dirt broke missionary trying to start a family and picked up an early nineties Explorer with 150k on it. The wife and I have put a couple hundred thousand on newer models since and have been amazed at the fit and finish and reliability. That is until they reach about 200k miles and you have to actually start replacing parts. C'mon, who'd buy American if you could only get that kind of mileage out of a vehicle? |

"holy ****, get out the way a FORD is coming, its going to set its cruise control on fire!!" GM side rail gas tanks were the largest, deadliest, protracted build in automotive history where GM continued a flawed design knowing its deficiencies. I believe I read the years they continued to build them amounted to more vehicles than the Pinto and the Firestone tire recalls of Ford combined. |
