If so, could you send it to me? Non-commercial usage, I am planning to get a tattoo and need as high res as I can find. Your help is appreciated! |

What size are you looking for. I have it in vector and I can put it to your exact size. you can then print it off and hand it straight to your artist. He can then trace it and get going on it. |

I don't see why a Tattoo artist needs a high res pic to most likely make a stencil. |

tattoo's aren't high res, shouldn't be needed. Get the best pic you can. A good shop has the equipment to resize the image to what you want, then make the stencil off of that. PS, the best way to screw up a tattoo is to try to do too much small detail work. Less is more. (Message edited by badlionsfan on November 25, 2009) |

I want it to be 4" long, scaled appropriately obviously. 'High Res' was me speaking, not the tattoo artist. I just want something true to the original, not my artist's interpretation. I know, I know...say what you want about the artist and their skills... |

I wouldn't worry about it. Print one off the interwebs close to that size and take it to a shop. Shops resize and trace all the time. |

Nick- see this post by Danger_dave a while back. He posted links to high-res images of the new and old logo: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show .cgi?tpc=4062&post=1638248#POST1638248 |

Just cuz I'm into all things involving ink being placed in flesh by shredding the skin, which pegasus you looking to have done? |

I'm looking into the original Buell pegasus. I've thought about the new one, but I don't know I want to adorn my body with the letters BUELL. I'm hoping I can find an artist who can do the old pegasus with carbon fiber laid in...not sure how it would turn out, though. |

The logo itself should be a piece of cake. Filling it in with a carbon fiber look would be really tough. Too many super thin strait lines. I think it'd be hard to make look right and too easy to make it look like a mess. Obviously talk to your artist about it, but I'd consider other shading options if for no other reason than to have a back up plan if your artist agrees with my take. Something that could look cool if they could give it a 3D treatment and make it look metallic or something. just a random thought from someone that has spent close to 30 hrs in a tattoo chair this year talking tats with a very good artist while working on my sleeve. |

I had the same reservations about the carbon fiber look. Do you have any recommendations on the multi-dimensional look? I don't want something 'flat'. Opinions are welcome as this is my first and I'm still looking for the right artist. |

I'm looking into the original Buell pegasus. You mean this one?
That's THE original, 1313 |

Give your artist the pic you want done and describe how you want it done. Let them draw up a few sketches and decide what you like. As far as the artist, don't shop based on price and look at their portfolio. This is perminant, you want it done well. |

No, not THE original...that one isn't as prominent as the next version. I like the next one better... I have two places in mind now, so I'm going to stop by and talk with them. I'm not too concerned with price, so I won't even bring it up. I want them to be as creative with their design as possible...we'll settle a price last. Like buying a car. |

Anyone know who owns the rights to the pegasus/Buell logo that 1313 posted? Would like to get a decal of this if possible to use on my 9R and do not wish to have the local sign maker crib it if I can get one from the source. |

You don't want something 'flat'? But you don't want this logo?
I could do a 3D version of any of the older logos as well, that you could give your tattoo artist. But it'll cost ya.... Get 10 people to commit to the Buell Homecoming 2010 Banquet package and I'll do ya a high rez, as big as you want, I do this in a professional 3D Cad/Cam application, so it's a vector format that is then rendered, and converted to JPG, GIF, or PNG. I could even apply a Carbon Fiber 'bump' map to it Yup, I'll pimp my services out to make homecoming happen |

Brankin's is complete, that's the way the tail was. There is an interesting story about the new shield. Anybody ever notice the "machine marks" in the Pegasus? Any idea how they made them? |

Ah, thanks Court. I need to get good copies of that, and the original (ca. 1995) pegasus with feet for my S2. I just like to keep stuff like that around... |

www.brandsoftheworld.com basically has all of the logos you can think of in vector form. They have the older Buell and pegasus logos, but not this brand new one. I'd love to get this new one so I can make a vinyl sticker for my bike. |

I just want someone to make a smaller-than-the-BOB-size new logo sticker in reflective. Black ink, silver reflective, 'bout 2" tall, for helmets and such. The BOB stickers are too big to make the curve on a helmet without wrinkling...and they aren't reflective. |

Book Of Buell - the 2010 catalogs have stickers in 'em. They're ...holdon, gotta grab the tape measure... 4" x 4". |
