You may have seen this before, but it's been somewhat recently updated and is pretty interesting: From the perspective of a Female Russian Motorcyclist experiencing Chernobyl. http://www.kiddofspeed.com/ |

Wowzer. OK this has been posted three times in the past couple weeks. Pretty impressive for such an old site. It's a really cool story, but it's all fake. |

Mike I'm wondering what was fake about the story. The place exists is it overplayed or is the scenario of a biker running around without any protective gear the fake. |

At least she is correct on the exposure risk, unless you eat the dirt or inhale it, a lot of the rads have "evaporated" away... What is hard to believe is that the Russian Gov would allow the site to exist... then again, if it is hosted by a French or Canadian server they don't have much say. |

Chernobyl is in the Ukraine. Although it was part of the Soviet Union at the time of the accident, Ukraine is now a sovereign country. |

The idea that she was alone on a motorcycle is fake. She was actually on a guided group tour in a car. But who knows. I don't want to argue either way. All I have to go by is years old information from the other side of the world, that strangers are posting on the internet. Anybody have the link to the last post about this in the Quick Board? I thought it had a snopes link. It was just a few weeks ago, but I can't find it with the search. |

I took a trip through the three main journals on her site. The Serpent Wall is pretty enlightening. We've only been taught WWII through the eyes of our soldiers and government. She quoted facts in the Serpent Wall story that tells of untold thousands/millions of Russians who died during WWII. It sure makes you appreciate what we have here in the U.S. of A. and a little insight to the loss of freedom. They were choosing between defeat by Nazi Germany or keeping Stalin in power. Now we have a president who's hellbent on socializing every facet of our country. We should learn from other countries errors and vote this Obamanation out of office as soon as we can. |

I found her site years ago and just on a wintered ADV whim I went to see if she was still around...needing some adventure. She was and with more stuff. North of the plant is all about Ukraine according to her. I see no fake about it. Interesting perspective on Iraq war...she blames UN for setting us up...not America. See a respect for America (subtle) in her writings and no respect for commies. Anyway...maybe someone can shed more light. Incredible story really about that aftermath. |

My co-worker moved out of that area after the "melt down". I sent him a link to her website a couple years ago. He enjoyed it immensely because he knew the area and enjoyed seeing the pictures. |

I have friends in Ukraine, Chernobyl is not tourist spot. If you are crazy enough to go riding through it on a motorcycle, then you are of your own kind of crazy. OHa takay cymshednya duyrna (shes an out of her mind idiot) There are so many other pleasant places to ride a motorcycle ! Hy nopa ! |

I see she had a meter and knew how to use it. The Finnish tour people used a meter as well. Road Rotogens must be nuclear road rash. |
