Looks like a tart's handbag. Good luck on the ride, wish I was doing it with you. On second thoughts, glad I'm not, I'd have to look at that monstrosity all day. |

Very cool. Have fun and be sure to report back with your thoughts on the Vision. |

Dave, My wife is convinced that should be my next bike since she's decided to start riding again. I'll be interested to hear what your opinion is but not sure how it would apply since you're twice my height. Any chance John Coleman would be riding with you? Good luck, be safe! JB2 |

From my own experience living with the "Tour" model (with top case) for a week: It's a nice touring bike crippled by completely useless luggage. If Victory ever improves those saddle bags, they'll have a winner. What's the point of a full dress tourer that doesn't have any packing capacity?? |

Thanks Dave! Hey, is there a way you could post a map of your beautiful country, and show us where you are when you post? |

Looks like a tart's handbag. It looks like a poop squirt with paint on it. Sorry guys. |

I don't mind the luggage too much - the compartmented bags work quite well for my cameras and gear and the top box is huge. I quite like the looks of the vehicle too. The purple (call me Prince) doesn't do a whole lot for me - otherwise I enjoy looking at it. |

Thanks DD. Really helps those of us in far far away land, when you are describing where you are, and where you are headed next. It appears to be another great adventure, albeit a bit damp! |

Looks like a lot of fun. Even if it is work. I think thats a really cool bike. The thing I like best is that the Harley guys hate it so much. |

Filth weather. They are expecting winds up to 90mph on the beach this afternoon. |

Not sure - there is pretty good brown trout fishing apparently, don't know when. |

Those Visions are funky machines. Climbed on one at a bike show (they had it bolted directly to the floor!). Coming from a Buell, it was like boarding a spaceship. ~SM |

Thanks for sharing DD! Nice job you have there! Interestingly enough, it seems that your beautiful island nation is about the same size territory that we ride in the Great Smoky Mountain region in my area. We can get a wild hair and reach out a bit further though! |

Great trip! One question... You have probably ridden most, if not all of the touring bikes on the market today. If you were in the market for a touring bike, would you buy a Vision? |

The Vision is only a set of saddlebags away from being one of the best touring bikes on the market. |

Yea - definitely would buy a Victory. I think they are very good vehicles. I have a new Electra Glide Ultra Harley in the shed now too. Man I like it a lot as well. Feels like a smaller bike than the Nessie. I'm not with Mr J on the bags issue - I think Saddlebags are 'OK' in conjunction with the top box. Fitted all our gear for an 8 day tour, cameras, chargers, 2 dozen Kiwi Rider hats, heap of Victory Brochures and co-pilots make-up bag! Agree they look like they 'should' be bigger than they are - but they compare OK with Triumph and Harley offerings. Not as good as BMW or Kawasaki baggers though. |

Great story . . . great photos and looks like a great time. The photo of the Britten doing the stoppie . . . . is priceless . . . .almost literally! Was that your photo? I'd totally dig a high res with your name as the photog in the corner. As usual . . . amazing talent! |

I could care less about Speedway but I confess a fascination with Dave's "art" . . fun to see that "J", the better half, has also contributed. What an eye! |
