My greatest fear is that Erik posted here under a fake name, and for whatever reason, I treated him like an ass and scared him off. That is part of the reason the few times I have met him, I never mentioned badweb!  | ||

I don't know what Erik's deal is, but most likely he has a confidentiality agreement in place for a specified term as well as a non-compete agreement. I'm sure they have him wrapped up pretty tight, but even if they didn't, a man of integrity would never burn bridges or divulge any information that would violate the terms of a contract or personal ethics, even under an "anonymous" moniker. Like most people, I hope we see Erik on here. I enjoy reading his posts on Facebook. I'm not only interested in him from a motorcycling standpoint, but also as a human interest story. His story is one of the American Dream. One of success, failure, and overcoming those failures. It's what makes America great. Hard work, intelligence, and innovation. He's an example of the way I want to live my life but I'm to chicken and comfortable in my work-a-day world to do it. I'm sure he's very, very busy...but he's also very smart. He knows no matter how good your product is, you have to market it and pacify your customer base. We are his market and customer base. He knows that. I'm sure he'll make use of Facebook, BadWeb, and other avenues to generate interest in his products as any good business person would. | ||

A non-compete is typically for direct competition. If Erik tried to build a cruiser, I'm sure that would be a violation of the non-compete. Or if he tried to go to work for a competing company. | ||

Court, maybe I misinterpreted what happened back in October. I thought BMC was being closed, 180 people losing their jobs, and the last Buell would be built on October 30th. I'm so confused. | ||
