Don't fruit the whiskey. I agree! Technically Jim Beam is a bourbon and not whiskey. But why waste something so tasty by diluting it with fruit? |

Have you tried Red Stag yet? It's not diluted at all. Its infused and has a hint of cherry flavor, most of that flavor is in the after-taste. Its really good, but I also like Southern Comfort. (Message edited by Buellinachinashop on November 24, 2009) |

* Bourbon must be made of a grain mixture that is at least 51% corn.[1] * Bourbon must be distilled to no more than 160 (U.S.) proof (80% alcohol by volume). * Bourbon must contain no caramel coloring (E-150) * Bourbon must be aged in new, charred oak aging barrels. [1] * Bourbon may not be introduced to the barrel at higher than 125 proof (62.5% alcohol by volume). * Bourbon which meets the above requirements and has been aged for a minimum of two years, may (but is not required to) be called Straight Bourbon.[2] * Bourbon aged for a period less than four years must be labeled with the duration of its aging. * If an age is stated on the label, it must be the age of the youngest whiskey in the bottle. Red Stag is not only bourbon, its straight bourbon. |

I like fried but what do you do with $25 worth of peanut oil after you're done? This year I'm dragging a Traeger Grill out to the desert. The recipe calls for 6 hours of smoking followed by 3 hours of roasting. I'll be starting just after 6am. I hope this thing works or I'm screwed. |

"I like fried but what do you do with $25 worth of peanut oil after you're done?" Strain and filter it for re-use. |

Turkey? Mmmmmm....Fried for sure! I like to use some liquid smoke in whatever marinade I make, to give it a little smokiness that it otherwise would seem to be missing. Every time I do a turkey, someone tells me it's "the best d@mn thing" they've ever eaten, so I must be doing something right! |

In case you want to try a Sluricane of your own. Take 1oz of Bacardi 151, 1oz of White or silver rum, 2 oz of Meyers Dark. put it in a pint glass/ Tall glass over ice. fill the rest with equal parts orange and pineapple juice. Then add grenadine (and a splash of a Strawberry liquor OPTIONAL) mix well then drizzle a little more Meyers dark on top and serve/consume. |

I like fried but what do you do with $25 worth of peanut oil after you're done? We reused it. We had a kinda impromptu employee deep fry day. A bunch of employees brought in whatever they had laying around, and we dropped it in the fryer to see what would happen. Mostly, innovative deliciousness happened. We dropped in twinkies. We got oreos. Someone even brought in some sort of meat - maybe pork chops. If you take wonder bread, cut off the crusts, mash it flat, spread cream cheese and jelly, roll it up and drop it into the fryer, awesome things happen. And, for the record, if you're in the neighborhood on Saturday, say, around noontime, Liberty will be fryin' turkeys for a customer lunch! We got something like 8 or so turkeys, so we're servin' while it lasts! ->ChelleM (Liberty Buell, NJ) |

I see America drinking the fabulous cocktails I make. Americans getting stinky on something I stir or shake. The sex on the beach. The schnapps made from peach. The velvet hammer. The alabama slammer. I make things with juice and froth. The pink squirrel. The 3-toed sloth. I make drinks so sweet and snazzy. The iced tea. The kamakazi. The orgasm, The death spasm, The Singapore sling, The dingaling. America you've just been devoted to every flavor I got. But if you want to got loaded Why don't you just order a shot? Bar is open. FYI all the before mentioned drink is quite potent and pineapple/OJ mix tends to mask the taste of rum quite well so if you have more than 1 of them please don't drive and definitely don't ride. |

We don't do Thanksgiving here, but turkey is traditional Brit christmas fare, & as it's our turn to have family christmas dinner I was thinking of a bird. It'll be stuffed & oven roasted, part stuffed with sausage meat & part with granny's secret oatmeal & suet recipe, which stops the meat drying out. Accompanied with roast potatoes, peas, cauliflower in a cheese sauce & yorkshire puddings. Wifey, has taken to making multi-colour cocktails since she bought a gizmo that floats the layers, she comes up with some beautiful combinations, but she won't drink them, so in the interests of research I have to. She has the most infuriating habit though of forgetting how she did it. Mind you after a few of her cocktails I just forget. |

For the last four years I've ben going to the Mom-in-laws for turkey. She has always oven roasted the bird then sliced it and plated it for the table, problem is, it has always been dry as a popcorn fart by the time it gets eaten. The cure has been to gravy it to death...and I'm not a fan of gravy. This year however, she used a baking bag and OMG what a difference, juicy and delicious, very nice. I've had friends bring samples of smoked and fried, both are excellent. |
