So, I've never been in a 3 patch MC before. Anyone have any incite into the inner workings?

Positions?
Job Functions?
Why the heck someone would go through all that extra drama to get together and go for a ride?

I've never figured out this one either.

I ride because I enjoy riding. I don't do it for a social activity or to be seen.

I guess some do.

That is what I appreciate about Buellin' on BadWeB! If I had to get formal about signing up for an event, or show up at weekly or bi monthly meeting to be a part of the program it would add that little extra bit of stress that I ride to alleviate. Ergo, that would suck.

Just as nothing will take the fun out of bowling like joining a league. There are times you just don't want to be there.....so why obligate yourself and add an element that will take the joy out of what you truly enjoy?

I belong to a "Single Patch" club. I never "got" the 1% lifestyle either. Don't see what any of that nonsense has to do with RIDING.

But I wouldn't trade my club for anything. It's a great collection of people and I always have someone to ride with if I don't feel like riding alone. Since we're an "All Brands" club we'll even trade bikes from time to time to check out each other's rides.

I've been in two clubs.

The first one we created called the RoadHolders. Five of us started it, and there were over 30 members when I left. It was fun to see others wearing our colors around the city, we were all young then 18-25 year olds, we modeled it after BRMC (Black Rebel Motorcycle Club--The Wild Ones) We mostly road British bikes...

The second was Capitol City MC http://capitalcitymc.com/, which is historic here in Sacramento, started as Capitol City Wheelmen 1890's (bicycles). The club house is very cool, original, and to me the main attraction.

I did a lot of fun things with these clubs like producing calendars for fund raising, going on massive group rides, regular scheduled meetings are good discipline.

I got to go to Hell's Angles parties, while wearing our colors, which satisfied my curiosity while not getting me in trouble.

I got introduced to Road racing through the first, and Speedway racing through the second.

I can think of many advantages to get involved at times with a club during one's motorcycle career.

I may go back again, or start another...

Wow DeBueller... that was some enlightening reading. Sounds like a lot especially if a MC follows the rules listed.

But thanks, that's the information that I was looking for. Suddenly our "RC" sounds so much more simple, insert key, twist wrist and repeat!
