Been in my garage looking at my bike and most of them have personal(vanity) plates on them. Just wonder what's on your Buell.

WLDXB is on mine and NTYRN on my wifes. That till they expire. With the insurance rate's going up in Wisconsin by 25% and the cost for renewal they can keep them.

Nothing on the bikes."HP USA1" on the truck and "IHMSA" on the Pinto. Vanity plates are a small form of voluntary tax that I won't pay anymore for the initial application. Renewal is $5.00 extra and I will do that for my truck. Pinto is stored as well as a few others to save annual fees that have DOUBLED...I just swap plates and keep my nose clean.

Well since I’m aircraft influenced. I was going to use THE JUG.
That switch out to being P47... I get more comments about, what does P47 mean? As I talk to them and point out all the Jap bikes setting in the lot. I’m the only American Aircraft in a sea of Zero’s.

I usually get a perplexed look or go to *#!! comment.

I always wanted PEN15 on a bike, but I have a feeling it would not be allowed. Saw that in a British sport bike mag about 20 years ago, always wanted it since but never attempted to try.

Driver Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) sell cherished registration in the UK. They have a team of people that spend their time sifting through millions of combinations to prevent offensive or questionable marks getting through.

Even tame ones like S1 AGS or S1 UTS are not allowed. C11 NTS and F11 CKS and many similar combinations are obvious no go's! And of course, the DVLA keep the good ones and sell them at auction for sometimes incredible fees! Think D1 ANA or S1 NGH. And of course it's totally against regulation to bring the letters / numbers together omitting the space when displaying on the vehicle, but many do so, and our police are constantly issuing fines to those that do. In cases where repeat offenses are committed the DVLA can withdraw the registration at any time, no matter how much it cost. It is always their registration of which the user only has the permission to use it to the designated vehicle. So the government authorities will sell you the numbers knowing you want to space them together making the word / words, which is illegal, but that's the risk they care not about as long as they sell and make money!

I missed out on S18 UEL and S18 ULE, but someone here has them.

I rack my brain trying to think up a registration starting S1, but all the good ones have long since been spoken for.
