Now I know Erik like Studebakers. He has a couple I know. Thing is the one I've seen need restoration completely. I've see him in extended 1 ton window van. I've seen him driving a soccer Mom's type mini van. Does the guy own any hot car's??? Maybe a Hot Rod Studie??? Does he maybe have a really nice german made sportscar??? What does he have with 4 wheels that he really enjoys to drive?? Court can ya shed some light on this?? |

Starts hearing hot rod lincoln or beep beep. Only car company that i think kinda fits in Buell fashion would be Tucker. That's what he should drive! |

Look . . don't get me started . . . I'd have to violate some confidences . . and some here, those in my "end of useful life" generation would need heart meds. Suffice to say . . . first . . Erik is the opposite of pretentious and if you are looking for a high zoot German car in his garage . . pack a lunch. His car is easy to spot . . it's the one with the windshield duct taped in. I bought a Ford Focus last week and was waiting for the Ford folks to make me sign a document that Erik would not be allowed to drive it. Erik has . . . er, a "history" with a Ford Festiva. Let's just leave it as . . . he was busy with other things at the time and never had time . . over a number of years . . to clean the car out. The last time I rode with Erik resulted in no less than 3 "significant events". There may be children present . . . so I'll share with you . . not one of the events but rather a glaring example of how stupid I am . . . returning home from Road America . . I noted that, about 2 miles of twisty road from the house . . that we were within 3 minutes of breaking the "Road America to Casa Buell" record and casually commented . . . "damn shame we got caught in traffic . . we're only 3 minutes from the record." There is now a NEW record and I. . . uncharacteristically will be keeping my frickin' mouth shut on future trips. The same day involved at least one incident with someone seeing something in the car and reaching for a sidearm . . you see . . I am an innocent victim . . . I'm not ordinarily like this. Anyway . . . I am pleased to say that Erik has invested less in wheels than you likely have in your kids braces . . . but he does seem to be able to extract amazing performance from about anything from yard tractors (before he was banned) to the family sedan. He's not normal.

I think I saw him in an EVO a few years back at Great Lakes Dragaway while playing with his band. |

I am positive Dana. At homecoming 2009 I went to help him carry stuff in. Although his pride wouldn't let me help I did spot a certain firearm catalog displayed in the rear window. Looked like an aftermarket intercooler so probably has engine work done. I remember reading a magazine article where the author said Erik picked him up in his souped up rally car and scared the crap out of him. |

Now adding a 2010 Festiva to my Dear Santa list, right under the soon to be de-exported xb12xs CityX. Please, I've been quite good... |

Few folks are aware that Studebaker started as a wagon company and I think the remants are still operating in Canada. STP may be one of their products |
