Arizona has jobs in a phantom district too. http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washington/2009/11 /obama-joe-biden-economy-.html I wonder how many of those jobs he "saved or created" are in the 7 of his "57 states" that don't exist? G |

"Is there a issue before the IRS to tax cell phones ?!?" They already passed that here in Wisconsin. .75 a month per phone, any phone. |

It's amazing . . . I've seen politicians who were less than truthful . . who "spun" stuff . . . but this new breed of out and out liars with a "whadya gonna do about it?" attitude is amazing. |

http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/jobs-saved-created- congressional-districts-exist/story?id=9097853&pag e=1 $8.4 million spent and 40.3 jobs created in the 99th congressional district of the U.S. Virgin Islands. Dang, I mean, how many islands are there? "We report what the recipients submit to us," said Ed Pound, Communications Director for the Board. Pound told ABC News the board receives declarations from the recipients - state governments, federal agencies and universities - of stimulus money about what program is being funded. "Some recipients clearly don't know what congressional district they live in, so they appear to be just throwing in any number. We expected all along that recipients would make mistakes on their congressional districts, on jobs numbers, on award amounts, and so on. Human beings make mistakes," Pound said. I mean, I don't know exactly what congressional district I live in, granted. But, let's be serious here, shall we?? |

I wasnt aware the territories HAD congressional districts. (ok, nevermind, they have 1 and it is a non voting delegat for the US Virgin Is.) For that kind of cash, I want to know the names of the people in the job, and their salary. Under the Freedom of Information Act, that should be available. And at 18 million dollars to run that website (www.recovery.org) The can do better with there damn transparency. |

I like the county that bought the lawnmower for $1,000 and reported it created 30 jobs. Liars. There was a fun piece on the tube last night . . the recovery.gov website is mostly bogus. |

They saved/created jobs in Iowa too....... at something like $850K per job .......in another one of those "ghost" districts. I'm thinking there is so much money and no or loose accounting that it's all being stolen....... |
