I'll try to make this concise. Girl in 350Z breaks down a block from my house. My wife tells me we should help. I go over to help. She has a flat. I go back to my house and get my tools/air. I return, she tells me her ex-boyfriend is on his way to help. I'm working on the tire. He pulls up and says "you better take good care of that shirt." (I am wearing a "new logo" Bumpus Buell shirt.) I say "speaking of shirts where did you get that one?" He is wearing a WERA hoodie. He goes on to tell me he rides in AMA for the Hooters team. I go on to tell him I work w/ Jordan Suzuki. He goes on to tell me that he was going to race a Buell in Moto GT until the "announcement". He was hoping to ride with Higbee. We both went on about how much the closure of buell sucked. Long story short. He invited me over to see the bikes and talk shop. I live 3 blocks from a AMA racer, who was going to be a Buell racer, until recent events. He now will be on a factory R6 next year. It also turns out he already knows about our other neighbor. The one that live across the street from me, who has 2 commandos, a race ready Triumph Hurricane and few flat track BSA's. | ||

Why would someone who is obviously trying to make a living turn down a factory backed offer to ride a bike that has zero factory backing?
