>>I'd be happy to offer my $.02 in a letter. Thank you . . . the key now is to move folks from just venting to the faithful on the internet and to pick up pen and paper . . . imagine if the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel business editor was to get 200 letters in the same day . . . . In fact . . it would be cool if someone would organize a day for as many badwebbers as possible to mail a letter to the paper. How many . . . here on BadWeB folks do you think we could get to mail letters this coming Friday? |

I'll do it. should we get a heading and footer ready then a similar basic paragraph and then the 2nd paragraph would be from the individual sending it? Do like a cut and paste post on here? |

Actually I think it should be just opposite... individual's paragraph first, then a second paragraph stating the common facts. If an editor gets 200 letters that all start off the same way, they'll be ignored as copy-paste. Anyone got all those "numbers" in a handy, easy-to-digest layout? Final cost to close, Buell's financial standing (profit or loss to date), total % H-D spent on Buell per year vs. some of their other costs, etc? Just so we're all on the same page... wouldn't want to have different sets of numbers floating around (and there have been), or it could blow the credibility. ~SM (Message edited by Swordsman on November 16, 2009) |

good point the repeated paragraph should be a guide for the tone of the letter, that's why I was thinking have it first. But I see your point. that one paragraph will be a visual reference for all of the letters coming in saying "we are together and we don't like what has happened!" I've already told my gf and family that I do not want any Harley related items for Christmas. My vrod is already stored, so I don't need any parts for a while, and any parts I want, I'll get off Ebay. |

Let's make this a bit more visible. I hate having multiple threads about the same thing.. hard to keep track of and to coordinate. This needs coordination. If you are interested in taking part in the letter bombardment, please post in THIS thread: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show .cgi?tpc=4062&post=1649946#POST1649946 Thanks! Boycott posters, carry on here. ~SM (Message edited by Swordsman on November 16, 2009) |

I'll put it on our FaceBook page and in a blast to our HOG chapter. I will have to talk with the owner principle before putting it on our stoer WEB site, but that's even possible. |

Here is my first protest on the Women riding section of the Harley-Davidson web site..................... I learned to ride back in the 1970's on Hondas and have owned metric bikes up until 2000. Then I walked in a HD dealership for the very first time and saw a bike that just drew me in, before the shop closed I put a down payment on it. It was a Buell X1 Millenium. The shop was the Route 40 HD Store in Baltimore, Maryland. Shortly after I bought the bike from them I was contacted by the store's Manager and asked if I could become a Rider's Edge instructor. I jumped on the oppurtunity to become one, I've been teaching MC safety already for the state and I would love to recieve different training on the same subject. So In March 2001 I became a Rider's Edge instructor. I was on my second X1 Buell and my riding skills are increasing even more. In 2003 I attended the Pimlico HD 100 aniversery party and I got to see a sneak peak of the new Buell XB9X and I was hooked again to the Buell Motorcycles In 2002 I attended my fisrt AMA womens' and motorcycling conference and took first place in the BattleTrax competition on my X1 shorty after became a Battle Master for Reg K. In 2002 I came to Milwaukee and got trained as a Program Manager for Rider's Edge and set up another RE program in Maryland. I attended my second AMA womens' conference in Georgia on my new XB9SX. My riding is still growing thanks to Buell and Harley_Davidson and their fantastic bikes. This year 2009 I ride a Buell Ulysses and rode it to Colorado with a past RE student from 2008 to my 3rd AMA HD and Buell sponsored Women and motorcycling conference. I'm still teaching Rider's Edge with my heart and soul helping as many women riders as I can then in October Harley Davidson shuts the door on me and shuts down Buell Motorcycles. Yesterday I get a flyer in the mail from Milwaukee. It says I have my own web-site and there are 34 models to choose from, there's one for every type of rider! HEY what about me! |

I see no comment even though 4 people rated it. If you are going to post a comment try to be non- confrontational, if your comment wasn't then please ignore above advice This will give the other ladies here a chance to voice out in a more to the point but softer way. Thanks for the 5 star rating! If somebody could post the page I did on here then it will help the other ladies go there and post their story. |

P47b wrote: Come on people lets keep this going.. I guess the wallet is more powerful than the ideals, for some at least. With the bike incentives and both clothing and accessory prices on discontinued items, we have never sold even close to the amount of revenue on Buell items are our daelership as October and again now in November. Kinda hypocritical to criticize a dealer or a company for focusing on the all mighty dollar when we Buell owners are doing the same, I should think.} P47b: I didn't leave Harley Corporation, Harley Corporation left me.
