I was always let down by how little advertising effort was made on Buells behalf (or how poorly executed that effort was). Seems like the motorcycle community knew little of them, let alone the general public (until this year, anyway). Yet, H-D is sure taking great strides in making blacked out 883's look tough. The other day a Honda CBR1000RR rider was talking about how fast current 1200 Sportsters were and was bragging about pulling wheelies on one. Keep in mind this guy rides his sport bike like a cruiser and is very round in stature. Picturing this had me laughing...which the guy took a little offense to. Ah well, can't keep everyone happy  | ||

Well, it's definitely new to me. I'd never seen it before, yet have been seeing it often for the past few days. It is a 2009 ad. That's new enough. | ||

The 883 is not a bad bike, it certainly isnt a great bike. I got two of them in the garage (2003& 2005), and if there is a choice of what to ride, it ends up being the BUELL; no hesitation. | ||

Comments may be disabled on there, but anyone can log in as a fan to the Harley Facebook page. Comments are most free there. Reminds me of an old Bacardi ad they used to show over here in Oz. Very tough...I wish I had the b*lls to ride my bike in a flanny shirt and a pair of sneakers  | ||

I rode a friend's 883 Sporty last summer, it was like riding a lawnmower. There was zero zing and nothing I liked about it. The Iron is price pointed so that its an excellent entry level bike. Right around 8 grand I think. |
